"Our family’s experience was somewhat unpleasant on the beginning of our check-in. The room they originally assigned us had a moldy smell the moment we opened the door. Unlike a typical hotel where the room’s aircon is centralized and left on before the guest check-in. Guam Plaza Resort uses a split type aircon that would only be turned on upon the guest’s entrance in the room.
When my husband brought it to the front desk’s attention, the assigned night manager was not helpful. The moldy smell was only addressed because the housekeeping staff overheard my husband and she willingly accompanied my husband to our room to double check. If it was left to the assigned night manager, our room change would have not been addressed and we would have been stuck for 3 nights in a moldy smelling room.
Most of the front desk staff were not friendly and approachable throughout our stay at the hotel. My children ages 7 & 14 doesn’t want to return to Guam Plaza Resort on our next trip. "
