This furnished 3-star tourism beautifully decorated, peaceful, in a beautiful farmhouse will leave you in the charm. Located in the Oise valley, labeled Accueil Vélo, two very good electric bikes, the Euro Vélo route 3, all amenities and comfort await you. Close to Guise, go on foot or by bike discover the must-see Familistère Godin, the Château fort, our countryside of Thiérache, its wildlife and its many hiking trails. You can enjoy local delicacies, Maroilles of course, beers and confectioneries. What a delight!

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay in this delightful gîte. The interior is beautifully designed and thoughtfully arranged. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are comfortable. The location is excellent. The rural surroundings are peaceful and the gîte is only a mile from Guise, which has supermarkets, boulangeries, etc. We would definitely stay here again.

Séjour très reposant à la campagne à quelques minutes en voiture du centre-ville de Guise. La maison est belle , très bien équipée et confortable. Blandine est une hotesse sympathique et donne beaucoup d'informations sur la région. Nous sommes ravies et reviendrons..

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt in der Picardie

Wir haben eine Woche in der sehr angenehmen Ferienwohnung verbracht. Es war alles vorhanden was man braucht. Besonders hervorzuheben, das viele sehr gute Informationsmaterial für Wanderungen und Fahrradtouren in Guise und der Umgebung.

Lovely property and gorgeous setting

We stayed for 7 nights and had a great time. The children loved exploring on their bikes, feeding the horses and visiting the local swimming pool. Cottage was very well equipped and the hosts were very helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Wij vonden het huis erg netjes! Goede bedden en het bleef lekker koel binnen. Het was buiten namelijk elke dag ongeveer 38 graden. Het enige nadeel vonden wij dat er geen buitenzwembad in de buurt was. Wij dachten van wel maar dat bleek een binnenzwembad te zijn. Verder hele aardige eigenaresse die alles uitlegt over de omgeving.

Aangenaam verblijf in Guise

Een zeer nette woning. Vriendelijke eigenaresse. Bedden uitstekend. Omgeving mooi, veel natuur maar na een week met een 13- en 18 jarige wel een beetje uitgekeken. Huisje staat op een voormalig boerenbedrijf, heel idyllisch.

Like staying in a boutique hotel

Stylishly decorated and very well equipped, there was everything we needed in the kitchen. On a working farm but very quiet. Beds were extremely comfortable, water pressure in the shower the only mild disappointment. Host was extremely knowledgable on the area and helped with places to visit.

Perfect stay. Easy access to Paris and Eurodisney with lots of WW1 historic sites locally.

Blandine the perfect host for our first visit to France. Very informative to the local surrounding area. We had great days out exploring Guise, the Fortified Churches, Cheme Des Dames, Saint Queintin, Paris and a quick visit to EuroDisney. A week was not enough. We'll be back to explore the many places we missed. Thank you for a perfect holiday.

Perfection on Picardy

The gite is beautifully decorated to a very high standard. It is spotlessly clean. It has everything you need to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. The bed is comfy and comes with Egyptian cotton sheets. The wifi is good, it's worth taking a laptop to watch movies of an evening as the TV only has French channels and there isn't a dvd player. There is a small courtyard garden complete with tables and chairs for al fresco dining, and loungers for relaxing. The only disappointing thing is despite being piping hot any time of day the shower isn't very powerful. There is a wealth of pamphlets showing you what's around. We enjoyed visits to St Quentin, Laon, Soissons as well as travelling further afield to The Somme Battlefields. We went canoeing down the l'Oise which was brilliant. The gite comes with 2 bikes and we used these to cycle on the Axe Vert - which is traffic free and flat! The town of Guise is within walking distance. It has 2 supermarkets both of which are open on a Sunday morning. A fantastic bakery - best pain au raisin ever! A lovely pizzeria too. Blandine is a wonderful host greeting us on arrival and letting us know she was available if we needed anything. Remember that you are on a working farm which means tractors etc maybe up earlier than you wish to be during your holiday! I would recommend this gite and the area for a truly relaxing holiday.

Excellent farm based gîté, suitable for families

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. We found it clean and tidy, and it lived up to its description. The host was welcoming and helpful, supplying bikes and recommending places to visit. Being on a working farm there was plenty going on outside, but the courtyard at the back of the property offered seclusion. It is also a great location to explore the local area (the host provided walking maps); Guise castle; Laon; the Matisse Museum; the source of the river Somme; and slightly further afield: Chimay chateau (Belgium), Pierrefonds chateau, and the Armistice museum. Canoeing is also possible a short drive from the property. Overall we would recommend this as a lovely property to stay in.

great location and property

Its a lovely house with al that you can possibly need. Good views on the DonJon and the Familistiere. The town of Guise is on walking distance. Its a need house, very clean and spacious. We loved the little closed backyard where we could sit in the last sun of the day. When it cooled down, we used the fireplace which was easy to lit. It has enough space to sit, eat and have a relaxed evening after visiting the neighbourhood, we can recommend this house to anyone.

The photographs of this property don't do it justice. It is very comfortable, extremely well equipped and beautifully furnished. It is in a great location in a large courtyard right on the edge of Guise. Good internet too. We extended our stay and are glad we did.

Au calme, avec un logis confortable tout équipé, dans un environnement champêtre, entouré d'animaux, à moins de 2 kilomètres du Familistère de Guise. Nous avons tout particulièrement apprécié le décor, le calme et la gentillesse de Madame Lefébure. A recommander aux amoureux de la nature, des balades en campagne. A découvrir tout particulièrement les paysages de la Thiérache, avec ses magnifiques églises fortifiées..

Excellent host and an historical area of France

Me Lefébure was a generous and knowledgeable host. The gite was not only beautifully decorated but also everything was of the highest quality. We were travelling with two children who enjoyed the cycle route, the medieval castle and the Godin Familistère.
