Beach life

I recommend this property, it's beautiful, clean, quiet and gated. Checking in is is made easy by very nice gentleman working there. Everything from the beach to shopping and great restaurants and the zoo and other attractions are very close by. We had a wonderful time and will be back.

Not what I expected

It was very easy to find Colony Club. We felt very safe here and the maintenance person was very helpful!Upon arrival of the unit, we were disappointed in not only the condition of the furniture, but the smell, very musty.We realized that it had not been cleaned in several months, so it was dusty and floors were not clean. The sofa was so bad we couldn't sit on it! The TV was not set up and we called the office about the sofa and TV. (That was Thursday) we received a remote for the tv on Saturday evening and the sofa was not mentioned. I'm sorry I'm having to leave a bad review, but it was not comfortable at all! The good thing is that we enjoyed being with family and playing games at their place (5 can't sit around this table). unfortunately, the weather was bad too. No beach time this trip. That was clean. The was dusty and the floors were dirty.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Was very dissatisfied with our unit. The furnace did not work properly. The refrigerator would not close unless you really leaned on the door. Furnishings were sparse. Kitchen light fixture was a bare neon bulb. The microwave was not fit for use. The kitchen was poorly supplied, utensils, silverware,etc... We had to leave early due to a medical issue. We may have been able to stay, but the condition of this unit made it a lot easier to go.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were in the unit for 80 days. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were in need of a rental unit at the last minute, so we took what was available. The unit is in need of a deep cleaning, the furniture is old/tired. There is an issue with the HVAC, the fan runs continuously. The refrigerator/freezer doors do not seal well. The carpets in the bedrooms needed to be cleaned/replaced.

Ok but not great

Not sure if the maid service did not clean before we got there but the there was some food on the floor by the bed. I got a clean towel after a shower the first night and a big clump of hair was inside it. There were no paper towels, trash bags or toilet paper as well. The beds were what seemed to be cheap and nothing to them. Uncontrollable was at night the loudness of all the tree frogs. If you get by all that gross stuff it was just ok.

Granddaughter’s 16th Birthday Weekend

With everything with COVID-19 this year, we were trying to figure out something special for our granddaughter. We had an amazing weekend and the Lord gave us beautiful weather. We really enjoyed our stay.
