The Pool Was The Star of The Show

My family loved the pool. We were in it everyday all day. The house is in a good location and we loved the beach views. The amenities like bath towels and kitchen equipment could use a refresher.

Roaches

We have used VRBO for 10 years and I have never left a poor review of a property, until now. We contacted Vacasa on day 3 of our stay because we started finding roaches throughout this rental and NEVER received a reply, other than blanket response telling us that the “local team” would contact us. I called and messaged Vacasa all week and even reported them to VRBO. Additionally, I had to pick termite-like bugs off my children’s bed at night. Reported this as well and NOTHING from the “local team.” There are other issues throughout the house: kitchen door leaks when it rains so we had to keep a towel in the floor to keep from slipping in the puddle; air conditioner was leaking from the top floor and dripping into the living area; one room had a horrible stench but we have a family member that lacks a sense of smell so we stuck her in that room; the cleanliness was lacking but we were going to overlook that until we found the roaches. If we had received assistance and felt as though the company was trying to be helpful, this review could’ve been different. Instead, we were ignored. All week we were left to shake out our bedsheets and laundry to be sure pests weren’t in them. Looking back, I wish we had just left and found an alternative rental. We had no idea the customer service was lacking so drastically. Save yourself the stress and find another rental and company to rent from. *I tried uploading the photos of the bugs and the website won’t allow.
