Gunnison Cottage

Beautiful and cozy. Built in 1939, this home was completely remodeled into elegance in 2018 while keeping the historic feeling with the original floors and clay walls. The upstairs has a queen bed and a full bath with Jacuzzi tub/shower. The main level is an open floor plan for the living/kitchen/dinning. The couch has a queen pull out bed with a memory foam mattress. There is a in floor heat that is on a thermostat for constant comfort in the cooler months, while the thick adobe walls keep the house nice and cool in the summer months. The bedroom on the main level has a queen bed. There is also another full bath on the main level. There is an oversized entryway with washer and dryer. This is very convenient for gear and bags, keeping your living space clutter free.
The Cottage is located right off the main road toward Crested Butte, about 2 miles north of Gunnison. It is conveniently located near (walking distance) to one of the main river put ins. Also Walking distance to one of Gunnisons best restaurants, Garlic Mikes, and walking distance to the bus stop that runs between Crested Butte and Gunnison.

Directions to property were well spelled out but it’s still a little tricky to find the driveway. Check in was super easy and the property owner is very responsive. We had no issues. If you don’t like stairs this is not your house. They are steep and funky - common for an older house. We were there in early August and it stayed nice and cool all day. Evenings were nice on the patio. It’s in a good location convenient for any activity that you can imagine. The whole house was clean, the kitchen was easy to cook in, and laundry facilities are more than adequate. Nothing bad to say about this one.

Nice and quiet. Easy access to the thing I like. Excellent restaurant a couple of door away. Some of the best fishing right in front of the house. Excellent streaming. What more can a guy want?

Cozy comfy clean cottage!

We loved the trees and privacy. So close to the river and restaurant - very convenient to travel to town and beyond. Wild flower season is the most spectacular time of year. We will be back!

Gunnison getaway

In Gunnison to get a feel for property along Gunnison river and Tolmichi creek. Short drive to Crested Butte . Hiking trails , Mountain View’s around Crested Butte were spectacular . Loved the dry cool low humidity .Loved the deer that hung out on the property.

Nice property

An older house situated off a busy highway. Great location and very close to groceries. Well equipped with utensils, coffee pot and toaster. Older but very clean and comfortable. Never heard the highway from inside the house. River access less than 100 yards. I really enjoyed my stay there.

We had a great stay at this very excellent property! I’m certain it was easily the cleanest VRBO we’ve ever visited! Well done! Peaceful and serene, close to the highway but completely soundproof. Our travel goal was to view the changing colors and Crested Butte, Kebler Pass, Lake City and Slumgullion Pass were all amazing! Bonus points for the proximity to Garlic Mike’s and the river. 10/10 recommend!

Quiet Comfortable Cottage

This was the absolute perfect place for us for a few days. A very well thoughtout cottage that has lots of room and is extremely comfortable. I appreciated the details. Perfect for adventure and relaxation

I brought my parents here so i could show them the gunnison/crested butte area. This was perfectly located for this kind of trip. My parents are already asking to stay here again in the future the next time they come out. The home was clean, beds were comfortable. The patio was perfect for cooking evening dinner and relaxing during the summer evening. Would definetly recommend this stay and will come back in the future.
