“Wir haben uns hier enorm wohl gefühlt, die Zimmer und Anlage ist in einem sehr guten Zustand und wirklich sauber. Das Personal macht den Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz besonderem, extrem zuvorkommend, höflich und hilfsbereit rund um die Uhr - wir haben uns bestens aufgehoben gefühlt. Die Unterkunft hat einen perfekten ausblick von den balkons auf das Meer und wir empfanden es als sehr schön, dass man nicht mitten in der Stadt ist sondern sehr viel weniger Trubel um einen herum ist. Wer vom Land kommt……

“Sehr freundliches Team, wo Gastfreundschaft großgeschrieben wird. Wir waren 19 Tage dorten und alles hat gepasst. Frühstück war sehr lecker und für den Preis pro Nacht kann man nicht meckern. Vor allem der Strand direkt neben dem Bungalow ist ein Traum. Super ruhig und traumhaft schön. Kann diese Unterkunft definitiv empfehlen :-) ”

“Excellent clean property...across the road from beach. We stayed in air con room as an upgrade. Dont stay here on a Friday night if you want an early night as there is a very noisy party...we were pre warned. Pool area is lovely.”

“Sijainti on erinomaisen hyvä niille, jotka tykkäävät varpaistella rannalla. Matkaa Hikkaduwan keskustaan noin 2 km. Tuktukilla vajaat pari euroa. Jos hotelli satsaisi enemmän tekstiilien pesemiseen (aamiaispaikka) ja lepotuolien pehmusteiden uudistamiseen, yleisilmeen saisi helposti miellyttäväksi. Liikenteen äänet häiritsivät aamulla neljän jälkeen kovasti, sillä huoneeni oli kadun puolella. Hinta-laatu kohtuullinen. Edellytykset paljon parempaan.”

“For us 33 Lake Terrace was the nicest hotel we stayed at during our time in Sri Lanka. The hotel is beautifully designed, the location at the lake is so peaceful and beautiful - simply amazing. On top of this Mr Panduka and the entire staff were exceptional, very discreet but always available and just very nice. The breakfast was very good but the dinner was just amazing, both the food and the atmosphere. While the location is a bit remote (15-20min walk into town) we enjoyed the uniqueness of……

“The owner/host and housekeeping staff were very friendly and nice to talk to. They can arrange tuk tuk for the guests and home style food was so delicous. Due to its location, guests will need to have insects repellent spray applied at all time. Overall very nice stay at villa birdlake. ”

“Fabulous stay in a really friendly Hotel. Room, swimming pool and grounds were beautifully clean. Great breakfast and quick laundry service. Nothing was too much trouble. A few minutes walk from the train station. Best of all, an adorable friendly cat who we got lots of cuddles with - we miss you!”

“Loved this property. The reception was so friendly and welcoming. The pool is lovely. The food and drinks (aside from one mistake) was good and reasonably priced. We often had the beach to ourselves. A few things, such as the gym and probably do with a bit of an update/clean but it was the end of the season and there were very few people to use it. The TV was good for English speakers, should you want news or movies. The hair dryer and mirror were outside of the shower and toilet area,……

“Rommet var slitent. Ingen nattbord ingen klesskap eller skuffer å ha klær i. Maling flasset fra vegger, vifte i taket virket ikke. Dør til badet gikk i vranglås. Taklampen på badet blinket, ingen steder å ha toalettsaker og veldig harde senger og puter. Strandhånkle som ble levert inn ble ikke vasket så du fikk håndkle andre hadde brukt, fremdeles med sand og fukt! Møkkete gardiner og sengepynt. Mange som gikk rundt og ikke gjorde noe, med så mye arbeidskraft forvente ma at de holder ved like……
