"If you’re looking for a historic experience while visiting the castle, you can’t get better than this Inn. It’s obviously been modernized, but eating downstairs has such a tavern feel to it. The portions are huge and the food is delicious especially the welsh pie and soups. Within the castle walls, you’ll have an array of local shops and pubs to frequent after touring the castle. Enjoy a walk along the water. As others have mentioned, there are stairs and it can be a bit of a maze to get to your room. I was worried but this actually did not bother me. As long as you can lift your suitcase up stairs, you’ll be fine. "

"We were running late and I called and told them that we were going to be later than expected and the girl was so nice she told us that it was okay they were going to wait for us, we finally got there after 11pm and they were there waiting for us, she said they were concerned because of the road and it was raining and misty, they were so nice and friendly and the gentleman helped bringing our luggage upstairs. I give them 10/10. "

"Such a wonderful stay - we only stayed one night and hadn’t overly researched where we were staying but were so pleasantly surprised. Beautiful, comfortable stay and restaurant was great too. The guy who was on reception 26th June about 3/4pm (maybe from Birmingham) who checked us in could not have been more helpful, so friendly and welcoming he really set the tone for our trip.
