“The property was exactly as described. We arrived fairly late in the evening and booked very last minute so I really appreciated how they were able to accommodate us. Aileen, the property manager, arranged our pickup and return ride to the airport. She was kind, very responsive, and also made us breakfast! If you’re looking for something simple for a night or two I recommend booking this place.”

“I had such a wonderful stay here. The hotel is lovely and immaculate. The rooms had a private balcony. The staff was unbelievably welcoming to us ( we stayed there our first two nights in Tanzania). They always went out of our way to provide hospitality. The food was excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone! And it also is satisfying that the income from the hotel goes to support the adjacent school!”

“I stayed at Kaliwa Lodge for 4 nights and was impressed by the tranquil and peaceful environment. The terrace is a great place to watch the sacred Mountain Kilimanjaro at different times of the day, and be connected to the nature. I brought along my yoga mat to practise on the terrace every morning. Food is great too, they prepared wonderful vegetarian food for me on request everyday. Staff is very nice and treat every guest with their heart. I really enjoyed staying at Kaliwa Lodge. ”
