「Heel fijn met in de buurt veel wandel mogelijkheden in het Ashdown Forrest. Niet ver daar vandaan was een mooi tuincetrum waar we veel tuingereedschap voor thuis gekocht hebben. Ook tuinen als Sissinghurst en Krijtrotsen de Seven Sisters was prima te rijden op ongeveer 1 uur vanaf het huisje. Als je van Winnie de Pooh houd is er in Hartfield op 20 min. rijden de Pooh Corner waar de schrijver zijn inspiratie had met niet ver daar vandaan de brug en woonplekken van de dieren in het verhaal.」

「Nice quiet location that is centrally placed to visit all the tourist spots of East Sussex. Enormous grounds of the main house to explore and walk. Probably not suited for wheelchair users due to floor differences between bedroom/lounge area and kitchen and bathroom. 」

「Had an absolutely amazing time at this beautiful little cottage. Jan and Nick provide everything you could possibly need. Lovely and clean. A real home from home. Set in the heart of the countryside, it provides peace and tranquility, with regular visits to the hanging feeders from a host of birds. Would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet getaway. Thank you.」

「Lovely place right in the heart off it all, no need to have a car. Parking is first come first serve, but we got a space, property clean and comfortable, had everything we needed. No need to bring towels all provided, even milk in the fridge and biscuits on the side. We will be returning next yr for a longer stay thank you Neil was lovely meeting you. Ali Kath and Alfie x」

「We instantly felt at home in this holiday house – and so did our dogs! Everything was super clean, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed - and much more. The fully fenced garden was a big plus, so our dogs could run around freely.There were even bowls, towels, and some treats for the dogs (and also for us)– such a thoughtful touch! 「Lovely stay at the stables. They have been converted to a high standard and were very comfortable for our family with two small children. It was great that there was a stair gate in the top bedroom as there isn’t a door. Had a nice meal at the local pub and in easy reach by car of local visiting sites. The hosts were very helpful and friendly and let us wander around their lovely garden. Would recommend. 」

「We stayed at Buttercup Cottage for four nights. It is located 5 mins drive from Rye town centre in a quiet, private location with allocated parking. The studio is spacious and the facilities are excellent for self-catering. We also ate twice at Layla's, a turkish restaurant, which is highly recommended. The town gets busy in the holiday season so you may need to book. The cottage also has a very helpful guide for visitors with lots of tips and advice to improve your stay. The shower extractor...

「My mum, sister and I had a 3 night stop over at the retreat. We had a great time despite the weather. The retreat was absolutely fantastic. The pictures do not give it justice. Would also highly recommend the 2 sawyers pub at the top of the road. Great food great atmosphere made us feel welcome.」

「We stayed for four nights in June and were delighted with the facilities provided. One king size bedroom, one double bedroom and a small room suitable for a child (we brought our own crib for the baby). Small details like the stair gate and a few toys helped too. The patio furniture was well used as we had glorious weather. Staplecross is well placed for exploring Rye. Hastings, local vineyards and National Trust properties. We would like to return next year!」

「This house was perfect for me, my husband and my sister. We were at a lunch party on Haying Island and we were able to easily drive to Sheffield Park in the light. The parking was so convenient and the cottage was extremely well equipped, not that we needed a washing machine. I would unhesitatingly recommend it. We tried to set off the dishwasher just the once, but the top shelf was attached by elastic bands and so we didn't risk putting anything there. Had we been going to stay longer I would...
