Some friends and I stayed for two nights this past weekend, and there were good things and bad things about our stay. Pros: the property is stunning The view of the lake is incredible, the yard is massive and great for games, there’s a fire pit and a large deck. The house is large, with lots of bedroom space and it can easily accommodate a large group of people. Cons: the place, while surface level clean (except for the stovetop, which did not look clean at all), is in dire need of a deep clean. There are cobwebs everywhere, doesn’t matter where you go, and the ones outside are especially heinous. The chairs around the fire pit and on the deck were covered in massive webs with enough spiders to horrify any spider-hater. There also werent many supplies. Some of the bathrooms had no hand soap and none had towels, there were no towels in general except for a few dish towels in the kitchen. We searched through all of the closets and cupboards looking for some and only found one. The sheets, especially in the basement, smelled musty and sour, like they’d been left overnight in the washing machine and then were dried the following day. The smell was so bad I had to put a shirt over my pillow just to fall asleep. Overall the location was beautiful, but it seems like the property owner is expecting the view of the lake and size of the property to do all the heavy lifting without leaving any of the basic amenities one would expect for a multi-night stay.
