Fall oasis

Retirement Celebration Getaway

The Hideaway Cabin was perfect for our old neighborhood friend’s reunion. We enjoyed the fire pit at night and early morning coffee on the decks. The outdoor lighting set a great backdrop for cornhole, music and cocktails. The beds were so comfortable with luxurious linens. Dan was super available for all our questions. Just a fantastic weekend.

Just what we needed!

The Retreat was exactly that for me and my family; a place to decompress from our busy lives and jobs. The surrounding forest and silence worked perfectly for us. A week of sitting around a firepit, playing board games, and sneaking into Hammondsport or Watkins Glen for a quiet dinner or a little browsing made for the perfect family vacation.

Outstanding home base to explore the Finger Lakes region!

Such an outstanding property! Recently renovated with stylish finishes. Plenty of room to spread out and very comfortable, with thoughtful touches and everything we needed for a great stay. Gorgeous decks with beautiful views of the woods. Close drive to delicious restaurants, wineries, and distilleries. Excellent base from which to explore the finger lakes region. My family hopes to visit again soon!

Relaxing and Romantic

10/10 across the board. The decor, the ambiance, the attention to detail.. everything was well thought out and carefully designed to make sure guests have the best and easiest time staying there. Minutes away from local wineries and distilleries and the views are amazing! Will be back again!! Can’t express enough just how amazing it was.

We will be back!

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at “The Hideaway”. This property exceeded all of our expectations. The attention to detail inside and outside the cabin was truly amazing. My family really enjoyed having camp fires at night and soaking in the tubs while looking at the endless stars in the sky. This proper was the perfect spot for my family to relax and unwind. Thank you Dan for hosting us! My family definitely will be back again.

The Hideaway is the place we didn't even know we needed until we experienced it!

Our busy family of 5 booked The Hideaway and once we arrived, we realized this was the place we needed. The experience for us included everything from spending time on the beautiful and spacious front to side deck, walking through the well-groomed grounds and out into the adjacent forest, and hanging out as a group or finding our own private quiet space. As a family we enjoyed the fire pit that is perfectly placed under the clear nights sky and framed in elegantly by the treetops. We enjoyed all of the amenities including the outdoor sauna, couples' bathtubs, kitchen bar, upstairs loft lounge with wine fridge and games. During the day our family went to Pen Yan, Watkins Glen, and just down the road at Hammondsport. Additionally, we were able to visit various wineries within minutes of The Hideaway. Dan was extremely available and responsive. The QR codes around the house were very helpful. We are already planning our trip back next year.

Perfect spot for a long weekend getaway with friends. Loved the secluded surroundings but with close proximity to Keuka Lake, Hammondsport and all of the area attractions. The property was very comfortable and very well appointed. Looking forward to a return visit

Perfect hideaway!

My family of four had a perfect vacation at the Hideaway! The cabin was very clean and well equipped with kitchen equipment and bathroom necessities. It was the perfect home base to explore the finger lakes! We ended each day by the fire pit. The property is beautifully lit with LED cafe lights; it was magical! Very easy communication with the property manager. Thanks for a great vacation!
