Good week in Hampton
The house is split between a High Tide and Low Tide. The front patio and the first floor is the High Tide. The Low Tide is the basement level in the back of the house. Despite the listing, it is 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.
The main bedroom has a small closet and a cubby behind the door, which was convenient for storing chargers and phones at night. The second bedroom is basically long enough to fit 2 beds lengthwise with less than 2 feet of walking space between the bed and the wall on the side. There are pillows and allergen bed covers, but you need to bring pillow cases, sheets, and blankets, as well as beach towels, bath towels, and washcloths. The air conditioners are noisy, but effective.
The kitchen area is nice, supplied with new cookware and appliances. If you plan on cooking, the only spices supplied are salt and pepper so hit up the local Walmart or Hannaford.
The location was walking distance to pretty much everything from the boardwalk, the beach, and the local whale watch/fishing tours. There is no on-site parking for the Low Tide unit, but the dedicated parking lot is very close.
Our biggest complaint was with the upstairs neighbors. It sounded like they were jumping everywhere, even as late as 11:30pm. For the first few days we heard a dog howling and barking whenever we were at the property, but once we contacted Jason, he took care of it right away.
All in all it was a good place to crash at the end of the day. Thank you Jason and Kara!
