Wonderful Hanalei Bay Home
The home is lovely and spacious. The location is unbeatable. The owner and property manager were very gracious and attentive to our needs. We enjoyed so much wonderful family time here. AC is only in the bedrooms but we quickly adjusted to the fans throughout the common areas.

Dolphin House
Every single element of our stay at the Dolphin House was perfect for us. We were a group of eight, six adults and two young children. The home had ample room for all of us easily. The large, sweeping backyard lawn provided endless area for getting outdoors with the littles and romping around. Easy beach and town access, all easily walkable. The inside living area also was wonderfully large with loads of room for us all. We used a wagon for our 2 granddaughters to walk into town. We've been visiting Kauai for 35 years. Staying at the Dolphin House was one of the best experiences we've had visiting Kauai.

Amazing place to spend time with family
Hanalei Bay is one of the most beautiful places on earth and this house is ideally located on it. We had a wonderful week with my family of 8 at the house. We swam every day and loved the ease of walking down the manicured lawn to the beach. Also the landscaping in general is top notch. The landscaping lighting at night is gorgeous. We played frisbee on the huge lawn, grilled steaks, ate on the patio, etc. A wonderful place and you'd be lucky to stay here. Jennifer, the property manager, was very helpful and accommodating to our schedule that got thrown off by winter travel craziness.

Updates needed
I stayed here 10 years ago and nothing really has changed. Love the house and location but it’s time for some new towels and bedding. The outdoor patio chairs were uncomfortable. The owner was very attentive and quick to respond to a problem with the freezer door handle and very helpful leading up to and throughout our stay. Jessica put us in touch with Chef Christophe who came to the house and made a couple amazing meals for our group. Overall, was great experience, house just needs a few updates.

Great house on the beach
We had a wonderful time at Kai Nani. Great location, space for everyone, gorgeous surroundings and impeccable landscaping. Our only complaint was musty air conditioning in a couple rooms.

Dolphin House NEVER disappoints
We stayed here 7 years ago and again this last June. There simply are no words to describe how magical this property is. The location is unbeatable and the pictures do it no justice. Staning on the lawn with the ocean waves breaking in front of you and turning around to see the lush mountians of Kauai with 12 cascading waterfalls! It's as if you stepped into Fantasy Island. Mark is a gracious owner and we can't thank him enough for opening his home to our family and friends for our stay. Just try to find a better alternative on Kauai, it's IMPOSSIBLE! So, if you can afford it, don't even think about waiting to book! Get that reservation going pronto or you will be out of luck next time you check the VRBO calendar. Thank you Mark!

Locations don’t get better
The house is absolutely phenomenal! We all absolutely loved staying there. The walk into Hanalei is super easy and the setting is unbelievably picturesque. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Perfect for multi-generational families
We have stayed at the Dolphin house 4 times over the last 10 years. The house is huge, and it is has a lot of sleeping options for big families. There are ground floor rooms for the grandparents, and a separate guest house for young families with babies. The house is ideally situated-- you just walk out the back door, and you are on the beach. You can also walk to town in less than 5 minutes for your morning coffee. The house is maintained impeccably, and it looks the same today as it did 10 years ago. There is no better spot to stay in Kauai!

Elegant and Perfect for a Beach House
The Dolphin house was immaculate! Everyone in our party was comfortable and in awe of the living, sleeping and outdoor space. Jessica was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Words do not describe the yard that leads to the beach. The grounds are very manicured and make it lovely to sit outside and enjoy the natural beauty all around. The kitchen was great for cooking a big breakfast and eating the at table on the lanai ...wow... Thank you Mark and Carlee and Jessica. It was a perfect family vacation!

The best!
We had the best multi-generational stay at the Dolphin house. The location is magic - waterfalls, rainbows, mountains, ocean, stars and sunsets. The house is spacious, comfortable and so much fun with a great kitchen, pool table, card table, sound system, etc. We can't wait to go back!

What a superb property!! By far the best on Hanalei beach!!!! We have rented a few and this is at the top of our list! Perfect location (on the beach and close to town) great size house for 10, functional kitchen, location is actually magical (mountains in the background and beach). No other property at this price comes close to this one! Our beach was also very quiet, far from the public access. If I had to add a suggestion, I would ask for extra outdoor furniture (for cocktail hour maybe a couch/coffee table). Also, it was great that there was lots of beach chairs/umbrellas to use. And The grounds are so manicured! What a treat to spend our 2 weeks here!! We will for sure be back!!!!!!

Beautiful location and plenty of space for the whole family
We loved our stay at Kai Nani. The location was perfect with views of the ocean and easy access to the beach. The kitchen was very well supplied with all the pots and pans and cooking utensils needed which made meal preparation easy but the knives were quite which was frustrating at times. The house and grounds were great for kids and the manager helped us coordinate a crib and stroller for our infant son which was very helpful.

Best Holiday Ever
I can not tell you how great this property is. It checks every box! The location couldn't have been better, close to town and shopping, steps from the ocean. The home is perfectly laid out with plenty of space for everyone. Everything we needed was there, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, snorkeling gear etc. There were plenty of puzzles and games. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could have needed. The whole package was top notch. Thank you so much for opening your home to us. It was unforgettable !

Location, location, and spaciousness!
Gorgeous location. Big spacious house. Well-appointed kitchen. What made this house and experience outstanding and what I haven't experienced elsewhere when renting was the property manager. Her attention was exemplary and I couldn't have asked for anything else. She went far above and beyond, communication was excellent, and she made all the difference in this experience.

Gem in Hanalei
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Dolphin House "Kai Nani" in Hanalei. The home and property were spectacular. Access to the beach was a dream. Hanalei and the north shore of Kauai are a special treat due to the quiet, slow pace and Hawaiian hospitality.

Perfect vacation place.

Beautiful house in the BEST location
We had a lovely time in this house. Had a couple of glitches in the beginning of our stay but Jessica, the property manager, was very responsive. We wish that the master bedroom had AC as it did when we stayed here previously. Overall, we would definitely stay here again as the location cannot be beat and the house and grounds are otherwise perfect!

Incredible Hanalei Property
We loved our stay at The Dolphin House. The location on the beach, the spacious and impeccably maintained grounds and walking proximity to town, cannot be beat. The house accommodates two families comfortably. The kitchen is well-appointed with all necessary equipment and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We will be back for sure.

Best spot in Hanalei
Truly spectacular setting. The lawn is gorgeous and even larger than in the photos. We had the beach in front of the house to ourselves. It is all sand and shallow, perfect for kids. The house is huge with lots of privacy between rooms. We asked managers for recommendations for caterers and surf lessons. Both couldn’t have been better. The house was immaculate. We walked into Hanalei daily for some of the best food we have had anywhere. The grocery store had everything we needed for the house. The only negative is the living areas are not air conditioned and were unusable mid afternoon into the evening. One bedroom was also not air conditioned and too hot for kids sleeping there. Otherwise fabulous. Highly recommend.

World class experience
This is an expensive place. It’s worth every penny. We celebrated our 50th anniversary just by being st this house for 12 days with our kids and grandkids. We’ve stayed all over the world and this place tops the list.

Great place to stay!
We travel to Kauai every year or two as it one of our favorite places in the world. The north shore of Kauai is our favorite part of the island and we have stayed in hotels, Airbnbs, and have rented several houses in Hanalei. The Dolphin House is by far the best we have rented. It is located in what I'd say is the best part of the beach on Hanalei and the estate is amazing! Just like the exterior of the estate, the interior of the house is extremely well maintained and is very clean. We highly recommend this house and will for sure return. The owner as well as the property manager were great to work with and we highly recommend them as they made the process smooth and made us feel very welcome! Thanks for sharing/renting your house to us, we really enjoyed it!

Perfection
The Dolphin House is a perfect vacation home. Steps from the beach, beautifully appointed, large, filled with private spaces to sneak away, as well as gathering areas for big families and groups. I could not recommend it more highly.

Impressive! Such a wonderful memory.
We spent 10 days in July at this beautiful home. There were 7 adults and plenty of room for everyone to have their own private retreat area. Everything was above our expectations including all the home's amenities, supplies, equipment. One of our guests loved to cook and she was amazed at all the kitchen appliances and supplies which aren't normally available in a vacation rental. The location and view are the best - right in the middle of Hanalei Bay on a nice stretch of beach that never was crowded even during the height of tourist season. The grounds are immaculate and the setting is very private. The main house and the 2 BR guest house are perfect for a large family or group. Any questions or problems we had were quickly addressed, but honestly there was nothing that detracted from our experience. Thanks to management and staff for making our stay one of the best vacations ever!

Wow! Amazing property and perfect location!
Our group of friends (4 couples and 1 child, 1 toddler and 1 baby) all thoroughly enjoyed our week at Kai Nani. The house itself is beautiful and very spacious, each couple had a large bedroom with en suite and there was a huge well equipt kitchen and indoor and outdoor seating area where we enjoyed many meals. The garden is stunning, it was great to be able to walk straight down the lawn onto the beach and the surf breaks and the garden is extremely well maintained and added to the beauty of the property. It was quiet and private and a perfect location to be able to walk everywhere we wanted to go during the week. Thank you for a great stay, we hope to make it back again one day!

Amazing home in an amazing location!
This was one of the most beautiful homes and locations anywhere in the world. Hanlei Bay, Kauai at the Dolphin House. The home was private, gorgeous and comfortable for a family. We had 10 people and there was plenty of room for all. Hired a private Chef, Jessica, for a couple dinners. Delicious! So much to see and do in Kauai we want to go back. Pricey but perfect in every way. Worth every dime! LOVED IT!!!!
