“It was a great place for our family of seven. We were there to visit more family and for the Schuyler County Fair (which I have been to millions of times and highly recommend). Beautiful home! Plenty of room and opportunity for entertainment for us with the pool table, horseshoes, and cornhole. Large living spaces and comfortable bedrooms. Love the location and outdoor spaces as well. In the country but close enough to town to be able to go for groceries and events. Very clean and well……

“The cabin rental was a great stay. Had some connection problems with the t.v. couldn't get past the check out date. The wifi was easy to hook up. The cabin was clean and smelled fresh. Did have some problems with ants on the countertop. Great place to stay, enjoyed our visit.”

“We loved the halfling house. The overall impression was awe-inspiring, but as we soaked in the little details, the richness just deepened. Nothing failed to transport us to Middle Earth: the architecture, furniture, the curtains, the dishes, the fixtures. Every little decoration tickled me, from the books, to the games, to the light switch plates, to the figurines. Amazing! We watched the LOTR trilogy, cooked some hobbity meals, and dressed up in costumes the host has available for pictures.……

“Well kept, well equipped, well located. Had everything I needed for an impromptu two day getaway. Could’ve easily stayed a week, and while I was alone, I could also see this being an easy place to share with 2 couples and not get on each others’ nerves. Dean was great to deal with, communicated well, and promptly answered any questions I had. Fort Madison itself was a surprise - cool little river town with a friendly vibe. Bet it’s a blast in the spring and summer. Highly recommend. ”
