9 Devon - Your Favourite Place

Welcome to No. 9 Devon Street, a modern, comfortable, warm home which is ideally suited for your next relaxing break away or holiday in wonderful Hanmer Springs.

We have a minimum 2 night stay and our home is best suited to family groups (4 adults, 4 children) and offers you:

•3 bedrooms, sleeps 8 (2 x queen, 4 x single - bunks suitable for children only)
•2 bathrooms (2 x showers, 1 x bath)
•2 toilets
•Open plan living area
•LCD TV, Sky connection, DVD player and stereo
•Comfortable leather lounge suite
•Designer kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher
•Extensive range of kitchen utensils
•Log burner (wood supplied)
•Night store heater and panel heaters (in bedrooms)
•Separate laundry with dryer
•Portacot, high chair, electric blankets, blankets, duvets, pillows, bathmats, tea towels, cleaning products (sheets and towels are not supplied but can be hired, Queen $25, single $20, Towels $5)
•Wi-fi is provided along with BBQ and outdoor furniture

Please be aware the single garage is not currently available to guests.

Sit back, relax and enjoy panoramic views to the mountains from this quiet location. The town centre is just an 8-10 minute walk from our home and offers you the famous thermal pools and spa, and a variety of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes.

Hanmer Springs is also a haven for activity and adventure, including mountain biking, forest walks, skiing, flying, jet boating, golf (a 3 minute walk from our home), quad biking and much, much more.

Hanmer Springs has something for everyone, any time of the year, so what are you waiting for, book your next holiday accommodation with us.


Guests are required to clean our home upon departure however we do offer an optional cleaning service (excluding bed making and dishwashing). The cost of this service is $100.

Minimum 3 night stay on holiday weekends i.e. Canterbury Anniversary etc.

We have an age restriction of 20+ years on all members of group bookings, other than family groups.
Special conditions:
Minimum 3 night stay long weekends - Queens Birthday, Canterbury Anniversary, Waitangi, Easter.

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave; Bring your own linen (towels/sheets)

Great space, good access to Hanmer

We spent our Christmas in this place with the family - had plenty of space, great access to the trails outside Hanmer and an easy walk into town. Very comfortable place - happy to recommend it.

Overnight Hanmer Stay

A beautiful, warm house to spend one night with our family. Bunks were a hit with kids as were all of the toys they had to play with! Highly recommend :-)

We had a great stay in Hanmer. Made use of the fireplace which warmed the place up nicely. Were some great board games and toys for the kids to enjoy as well.

Is a beautiful home with heaps of space.Very good layout with everything which made it easy with kids.Lovely & warm,would recommend it to anyone.Would stay there again if ever get the chance going back to Hanmer.

We absolutely loved our stay. The home was super comfortable (great beds, great shower) and was super spacious which was handy for 4 adults and a busy toddler. The bunk beds were a hit with our daughter! Fantastic location close to everything.

Perfect home for a restful stay

We absolutely loved our stay at no 9 Devon St. Very clean and warm, with everything you need. An easy walk in to the lovely shops and cafe's in town. Very comfy beds and pillows. The grandchildren loved the bunk beds. Wish we could have stayed longer. We shall come again.
