Quick Trip

Great stay at the Doll House

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at the doll house before and always enjoy it; great location, comfortable lodgings, and very friendly staff at Graham to help us out with anything, as needed. A big plus is that we can bring our dog with us, and now the house has a fantastic new AC unit upstairs to keep us cool. We will be coming back!

Perfect location

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very cute home in a perfect downtown location. Unfortunately, we were there in July and there is no a/c upstairs in the bedroom. It was unbearably hot, no matter how much we blasted the a/c downstairs and no matter how many fans we had going. We sent a message to the host a couple of months before our arrival and never got a response. Would not stay here again or recommend to others.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I did enjoy the stay.A few things I would like to share.1. The chair in the living area. The back legs are loose and have a tendency to turn to cause chair to tilt back and want to fall backwards.2. There were no directions as to where to place the garbage. I called the management but nobody called back.All in all I enjoyed the stay in Harbor Springs. Especially since my daughter and her family were staying there.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived in the late evening and found the place to be well appointed, welcoming, but very tight. Over the next few days my shin would be forcible redesigned by the edges of the bed and other furniture bc there was so little space. The bathrooms all had a step down to enter which was treacherous in the middle of the night. There were low clearances which were not marked and my husband hit his head a few times. Our first night the smoke alarm over the bed started alerting dead battery at 2am. We did not think to pack 9 volt batteries and nothing is open at that hr so we had to dismantle the smoke alarms in order to sleep. Yay safety. Granted, management got us batteries after they opened at 9 am. But I had to walk up to get them and install them. While the downstairs cooled a lot during the day and night the bedroom / upstairs remained very warm all the time. We discovered as the stay went on that the first quick look tha the place was tidy was incorrect. Largely there was trash left under the bed and stains on the chair and couch and rug. Granted, we picked up the trash and ignored the stains but it was a bit off putting. Then came trying to dispose of our trash - the can for us to do so in the shed was already overflowing with trash! We literally had no where to go with our trash! We discovered this on a Friday evening and by Monday we were so ready to leave we forgot to call management to get something done about it. This was t the worst rental we’ve had - but it definitely did not touch the best or even really good ones. It was walking distance to everything and the community gave us all we could ask for except grocery.

Desperately needs A/C upstairs

The place is cute and in an amazing location. Window A/C downstairs keeps it comfortable there, but the bedroom is in a loft, accessible by a spiral staircase and there is no A/C unit upstairs. It was so hot, we could hardly breath, let alone sleep. We booked before seeing the other reviews about how hot it was up there. I am surprised they didn't add a unit up there by the time we arrived in the 90+ degree heat of July. Also, I messaged the host about 2 months prior to our trip and never heard back.

Doll House Review

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My stay at the Doll House was okay, in spite of a few issues. It was a HOT week, and unfortunately it is impossible to sleep upstairs with the heat. There is a small unit downstairs, but it does not reach upstairs. Fans didn’t really help either. I had to sleep on the couch downstairs for 2 nights because it was about 85 degrees upstairs. Another unit in the upstairs window would really help the situation. Management was very responsive to other issues I had (the gas stove/heater was stuck on and wouldn’t shut off, so they came and turned the gas off right away when I called, though I was stuck with it on for one night- ugh).
