“The hotel is on the Main Street of Decorah with walkable access to shopping and restaurants. Many of the original features of the hotel still exist so it has the feel of a 1920s/30s hotel. Rooms are modern and comfortable.”

“Green Gables was very nice and perfect for our needs. It’s close to the Root River bike trail and has protected bike storage which was important since there was a big storm that went through the night we were there. Breakfast of coffee and muffins was really all we needed. Gardens we’re well kept and gazebo is a great place to sit and read. ”

And she has a bike storage so we didn't worry about theft during the night...not that we would worry around there anyway. It was SO PLEASANT to sit on the huge porch in the evening and play a game and rest. Even when it was HOT, it was beautiful in the shade.”
