Our young guests are welcome to learn to feed them with the help of our concierge who lives across the street from the property (or owners when we are nearby). We usually have fresh chicken and duck eggs available. We also have a family of Canadian geese that come every year to hatch and raise their babies right next to our dock, and they bring their babies for us to feed right off the kitchen deck.

***** Please NOTE: Our concierge will access the exterior of the property on the South side of the house (under the kitchen area) once every 3 days to care for the chickens and ducks (we have automatic door openers and feeders). No access is needed inside the property, the chickens and ducks have their own protected area under a part of the house. The owner or concierge will communicate with you to determine the best time to care for the animals.*****

+ We try think of and stock things you need, particularly when staying for multiple days. You will find laundry & dishwasher pods, bathroom and other tissues, makeup remover cloths, common cooking spices and everything needed in the kitchen for meals, all types of appliances such as rice cooker, toaster, ice maker, etc. If you come here and don’t find something you need, let us know and we’ll try to accommodate you!

+ While we do provide a laundry room with 2023 Samsung front loading washer and dryer, as well as the supplies needed to do your own laundry, we recommend you take advantage of the same laundry service we use. Fresh Folded Laundry, LLC will pick your clothes up at your door, wash and fold them, and return to your door the following day. The prices are surprisingly affordable, and you are supposed to be on vacation!

We can assist you in planning Private Chef experiences, during which a chef and server will cook the most amazing foods right here in your gourmet kitchen. Meals can be served in our dining room with 10-12 seating, as well as an additional dining area for 8 just 10 feet away from the main dining table. Or, take the party outside to the massive deck off the kitchen overlooking the lake and dine under the sun or stars. Or for a more romantic event, have dinner for 2 in the Loving Art Gallery next to the giant picture window overlooking the lake, or even down on the dock of the lake itself.

Local Chefs can also cook meals for you in their kitchens, and deliver the food to your door if preferred. Your concierge can assist you with planning your specific needs.

Please Note: We are located on a mountain lake, and only have one local restaurant/bar (Mountain Lake Club) .5 miles away. There is no Uber Eats (or any other food delivery service) and restaurants located in downtown Harpers Ferry and Charles Town do not deliver to this area. This means you need to plan to cook for yourself, arrange for the Private Chef event, or go out to the amazing local restaurants all within 15-40 minute drive. Chef Ramos of Fleur de Cuisine will deliver chef created spreads for any meal if you want a more cost effective option while not cooking for yourself.
