「Arrived with screwdriver and saw blade in stairs and half done job on gate for stairs. Overall cottage not up to date, more old persons home and grubby around the edges. Cooker was grubby, light didn't work. Toaster only half worked, other half very slow. Dog bowl and dog blankets in living room and kitchen. Not having a dog this felt not set for us. Lots of dog hairs. Ended up eating out lots to avoid eating in. Cost us more as a holiday. Cottage needs a full update/upgrade to fit modern...

「Absolutely brilliant cottage. All new fixtures and fittings with everything you could need for your stay. The drains smell came and went- not sure where it came from and it didn’t really bother us. Location fantastic for walks along the coast and short drive to other coastal towns. Would recommend」

「Fantastic hosts and fab little cosy comfortable cottage, just a few steps from the harbour. Chris & Sarah were very friendly and helpful. The cottage has a lovely seaside theme running throughout and contains everything - and more you could wish for. It also has a very spacious outside area from where ... at a stretch ... you can spy the sea. I wanted to stay longer but sadly (for me) it was booked up. We're planning our next visit asap!!」

「This is a versatile accommodation for business, pleasure, families. Set in a fantastic location at the bottom of penshaw monument. There are some many places within a short drive. If you don’t want to drive there is lots to do in the immediate surrounding area. A short walk and you are down by the river, where there is a great coffee shop or friendly pub. If you enjoy walking or have a dog this is an ideal place to stay. The privacy is also another massive bonus. I would certainly...

「We loved this property. The owners obviously have an eye for decor as it is a really stylish place and beautifully finished. We loved how peaceful the property was and the owners had thought of everything . We really appreciated the tea, coffee and milk after a 5 hour drive and the muffins, biscuits and crisps were a lovely touch. All the information you needed was in a folder and we visited lots of the places recommenced in it. It’s a fantastic property and we hope to stay there again.」
