"I am extremely disappointed with my 18–20 day stay, ending July 12, 2026. I chose Taj while my son was undergoing knee surgery at Medanta and specifically requested a comfortable room near the elevator due to our medical circumstances. Instead, I was given Room 302 at the end of the corridor, the manager at check-in was cold and showed no sensitivity.
Room 302 was far below Taj standards: the refrigerator had to be replaced multiple times, the coffee machine did not work properly, there were inadequate room-darkening curtains & other maintenance issues. Most disturbing, I encountered a lizard in the room. Managing these problems while repeatedly traveling to the hospital for my son's surgery caused additional stress. I was eventually moved to Room 301 for the final week.
Despite my lengthy stay & clearly explained medical circumstances, I felt there was little consideration or empathy extended to us, including no meaningful long-stay or dining consideration. During such a difficult period, I expected Taj to make our stay easier not add to our stress.
I would, however, specifically recognize Bhargav from Housekeeping, who was exceptionally helpful & considerate.
Given the length & cost of my stay, repeated room problems, lizard incident & overall lack of sensitivity, I request senior management to review my stay & provide meaningful service recovery/compensation rather than a generic apology. This experience fell significantly below the standardsI associate with Taj."
