Had a nice stay here in Hawi without completely breaking the bank, tho I do miss the old funky hotel that used to be a brothel. This was considerably more comfy, if pricier. Still a decent price. Nice people, right around the corner from the main area of shops in town so coffee and meals were simple. Great option.

Air conditioning was very good. The room was great I liked using the keyless entry. All the shops I needed were just a walk away. The Mexican restaurant was excellent. And the Hawi Coffee was the best and very friendly.Staff were friendly and helpful.

Wonderful Experience

After doing a long trip around the Big Island, I can say that this was our favorite stay. It is a lovely hotel. Check in was very easy, rooms were clean and stay was very quiet.

Everything was fantastic! The only odd thing is that there wasn’t a headboard on the bed. The staff was very kind! If you look at the window latch on the courtyard side of the room, it might say “made in occupied Japan” on the knob, which if you know your history, it should give you a solid idea on the age of the hotel. But the place is in great shape, seems freshly remodeled, and really is quite a treasure. The song of the night birds is mesmerizing! One word of caution for late arrivals though: everything in the village closes at 8PM or earlier. If you landed at Kona in the evening, and you want anything for the night, you better get it in Kona. I will absolutely return to this amazing place!
