Silverwood inbounders

We had an Awesome time! The House was amazing! Loved watching the lake and catching Bass! Great spot to hang with family and only 20 minutes from silerwood theme park. Lots of wildlife to look at! Will be back

The Good, The Bad, The Quirky

The Good... The views from almost every room in the cabin are amazing! You are right on the lake! The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to make any meal. There are games, books, and videos to spend some family time together. If you have a small child (we didn't) it looked like there were some basics (chair, potty etc) to use. The Bad... The master bedroom bed was rock hard. I mean ROCK hard so bad in fact that my husband and I found sleeping on the small pull out couch was more comfortable than the master bed. The master bedroom also had no place to put a suitcase or clothing. There was no dresser or drawers to unpack our clothes. The closet was locked (owners personal stuff). If you are like me and like to unpack your items when you arrive this would not be a great place for you. It made me feel unorganized for our entire stay having to get everything in and out of the suitcases which sat on the floor the entire vacation. The master bathroom has carpet in the bathroom. I wore my shoes into the water closet as it was a little strange to have carpet under the toilet, but tile next to the shower??? The Quirky... This house is built on a downward slope so there are three stories of the home. When you walk in from the garage (street level) you walk into a small office area and then into the master bedroom sitting area and into the master bedroom all of which have no doors. Everything is very broken up with lots of walls to separate rooms but no doors to close. The second floor has the kitchen, bathroom, dinning room, living room, and TV room. This is not one big open space as it is broken up into separate rooms with walls or the large fireplace. This was hard for us as we all wanted to be together but one room was not big enough to host all of us at the same time (there were 8 of us total). The living room has one smaller couch facing the fireplace (no TV) why it was not facing the amazing lake view I'm not sure? The bathroom on this floor has an oddly placed toilet between the vanity and the bathtub/shower but so close to the vanity I hit the back of my shoulder every time I sat down. The bottom floor was fine with 3 bedrooms and a small living space. Overall the house was okay. The views were amazing. We did not have any issues with water pressure as previous reviews stated. For the money we paid I might have searched for another lake front house where I could unpack and get a good night's sleep.

Beautiful view!

The lake house was designed with the view in mind. Beautiful lake views from most every room. This comfortable setting was a great place to get together with family.

location was nice

We were a little surprised to see old food,cup of noodle on couch upstairs. Handrails interior of stairs are loose and need repair. Handrail leading down to dock are loose/broken. My mother in law damn near fell due to the extremly loose handrail to ldock. Also the downstairs shower was filthy and the doors are broken

Get relaxing get away!

It was 6 ladies that work together that love one another enough to spend a few days away from work relaxing and enjoying the beautiful and comfortable surroundings. Very clean and well stocked. We had a great time. The view was so relaxing, and watching to boats and skiers go by made it even better. Very quiet.

Great Property for Family Vacation

We stayed here for a week and had great time. The description of the house is accurate and it is important to note what is in that description. The only thing I would add is that the road in is very restrictive. Not only is parking an issue but if you bring a boat down there you cannot turn it around. Well you can do it by hand if you're feeling strong but after doing just that I'd just store it. The only negative for us was dealing with Vacasa and it wasn't that bad. On the plus side the property was great and one of my sons hooked a 42"pike right off the back dock. We'd happily do it again.

Gorgeous and relaxing

My family and I spent time at this beautiful lakehome for 5 days. It was incredibly relaxing with a great view and the house was perfect. Everything you need is provided, and then some. There were plenty of games for my young children as well as books and classic Disney movies. The house was clean and well maintained. We will recommend The Starling Lakehouse to family and friends.

Great Lake House

The house was lovely and room enough for seven of us. Had a slight problem with hot water that was quickly remedied with one email on thanksgiving day. Did have to purchase firewood, as there was not any provided to start with. The house is roomy and beautiful when it snowed with wonderful lake views. Would definitely recommend this lake house!!

Beautiful setting but some aspects were difficult.

Having utilized numerous vacation rental homes, this one has been our least favorite. We wanted to love it, and the home is advertised fairly, there were just things we hadn’t fully anticipated. Here’s what you need to know: -The place is great for seclusion! It’s a bit hard to get to and it would be tough to have friends come over because of the single lane driveway and lack of parking. But there are heaps of books and games and staring at the Lake. -The kitchen is great! Lecreuset cookware, French press, rice cooker, lots of extras but don’t cook too much because there’s no Tupperware or lidded things. The top rack of the dishwasher wants to come off it’s track all the time too. -The master suite is beautiful and we loved the living space attached to it but please note there is NO DOOR. Parents read: No Privacy! Also, everyone at kitchen level can hear your conversations due to the open balcony. We didn’t think about this when looking at the house online. -Beautiful natural surroundings come with bugs. Even with extreme efforts to keep external doors shut, daily we still dealt with spiders, mosquitoes, moths, etc inside the home. I didn’t mind too much but my kids wanted to leave after day one. It’s a good thing there is a pullout sofa near the master bedroom. -The living area in the lowest floor needs a table or at least a rug. The big open space is nice but when we wanted to put together the puzzles, play games or kids wanted to play with toys you have to play cross-legged on the wood floor. A little coffee table...bean bag...TV tray...anything would help. All that said, we appreciate owners who open their homes to guests and the Starling House was not without its merits!

Excellent service by the management team. Easy in and out. Beautiful lake front property.

We would stay here again. Really nice dock. Beautiful decks for panoramic views of the lake. Beautiful well maintained home. We had a great time.

Beautiful home, but.....TERRIBLE water supply & plumbing!

We were so excited to stay in this home with a breathtaking view! It was just what we were looking for our family of 6 and 1 baby. Plenty of room to spread out, but unfortunately, from Day 1 we had issues. Initially it was a broken toilet and a plugged up kitchen sink. Then it was the water pressure that kept getting worse every day. We could never use all three showers or bathrooms at the same time. The water pressure was TERRIBLE!!! The first person got o.k. water flow, but as the subsequent showers were taken, the water would stop during the middle of the shower. The master bedroom was the worst. We figured it was because it was the highest level. However, sporadically on each floor, we would have to turn on the faucets for a few minutes before water would even come out. But to make matter worse, one night we had NO WATER at all! Vacasa was responsive and polite, but unfortunately, the water issues were never resolved. We tried to make the best out of the situation, but we really couldn't enjoy the full 3 bathroom amenities, at all. We aired our concerns to Vacasa to at least get some compensation for our major inconveniences, but we still have not heard back from them addressing this issue, and that was over two weeks ago. If the water pressure was up to full capacity to maintain the three bathrooms and kitchen, we would have rated our stay 5 stars!!

Great house and location.

Plenty of space for everyone. BBQ was available at the house. Not sure that was listed in the items there. Also we used the Sportsman boat launch and it was not crowded and very close to the house.

Towells in dryer and washer, crumbs on tv roo. rug, no propane, no key at door, bathroom towels not mounted, cover on mattress was on side ways, But house is awesome to stay in, once we got things right

Beautiful home with great views

I would love to wake up with that view every day. This home is beautiful and comfy, we felt right at home. Felt very private even with one neighbor just a few feet away. The kids loved the board games and the Disney VHS movies available downstairs. The kitchen was well equipped (except for a good scrambled egg pan). Very easy to get to, the directions sent were spot on. Only thing that could be a problem is if you have 9 guests, there is not a place you could all sit together, the living room seats 5 (2 loveseats and 1 chair), the TV room seats maybe 4 (1 couch) and the dining room had 6 chairs. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

Three Stories of Lake Views

Looking for a quiet place to relax? Great master bed and bathroom and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils you need to cook a gourmet meal. Loads of space in this rental. Lots of stairs to climb - both in the house and down to the water. If you are looking for a secluded retreat, this house is the ticket. Don't forget to bring some Kleenex! Couldn't find a box in the entire place.

Beautiful home, great for families

The property looks just like the pictures. Very spacious & comfortable for our 2 families, 4 adults & 5 kids ages 6-11. Fishing off the pier was the most fun; bought worms & license at Walmart a few miles away. Caught Blue Gill & trout. Kids screamed with delight when a river otter swam past us. Cooked most of the time in the kitchen, cleaned up w/ dishwasher, made use of washer & dryer. Also played dvd on large tv, tho couldn't get blue ray to work. Did s'mores in fire pit on deck. Easy drive to nearby Silverwood Theme Park. A super fun in a very comfortable home. Also, the view was amazing. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Great location & property. Close to anything you might need but also away at the lake.

An upscale home on the lake. Had none of the problems mentioned in other reviews with the water quality or pressure, all was fine despite bringing drinking water just in case. Everything as advertised except cleanliness had a bit to be desired in that there was animal hair that was missed by the cleaning crew. We still had a great time & would come back again.
