The house was exactly as described. Perfect location close to loads of hiking trails, breweries and wineries. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all the tools one needs and in good condition. The property is large and in a quiet area. The only thing we didn't like was the ice and well that is only to be blamed on mother nature. :)

We booked this house for a weekend away with our adult children. It was a great house, close to several restaurants and wineries. The kitchen was equipped with what we needed to make our own pizzas one night, we used the smart TV for shows and movies, plenty of seating in the living room, and a large table to sit around and play games. The owner was great at communicating. We planned to use the hot tub but ran out of time. I think we want to book again in nicer weather so we can enjoy the outdoor space next time. Great weekend! Thank you!

The parents arrived the night before and had a short hike and dinner in Watkins Glen. The next day, the kids and their girlfriends arrived—the 30-something’s fell in love with the place. The house is perfectly located to visit wineries and breweries—it’s all so close! We swam at Smith Memorial Park (2 minutes away), walked the Gorge Trail in Watkins Glen State Park (16 minutes away), rented a boat at the Anchor Inn and cruised around Seneca Lake (18 minutes away), and watched the sunset from various spots along the lake including the house’s veranda. The house met the needs of a busy group, but also allowed for long, lingering coffee and breakfasts on the veranda, afternoon swims in the pool, and excellent bird watching—one of the girlfriends is an enthusiastic bird watcher and she added new birds to her list each day. Our stay was lovely, and JC was in contact by email checking in and making sure we had everything we needed. A true 5-star rating from my family!!
