Great value and location!

Great value, private and lots of room! This was for a short trip to Helen for 2 nights with 4 adults and 3 kids. The villa was perfect with 2 large bedrooms with queen beds and a loft with 2 twins--one child is only 4 and sleeps on a mat on the floor when we travel. 2 full baths were great. The location is great, very close to downtown Helen so we could go do something and get back the villa easily. The villas do have dated decor but that's not a big deal. It was great having a kitchen to cut down on some food costs. Everything was very comfortable except for the beds which are really very soft and need newer mattresses. Our middle aged and older aged backs were not doing well after sleeping on those mattresses. Honestly, I would give them a totally perfect review if it weren't for that one thing. We also made use of the pool one night, unfortunately, the other night they locked it up early (the book said it was open until 10 PM but it was closed by 9:20 PM). We did have a less than satisfactory experience at the gate when part of our party that arrived late experienced a surly gatekeeper and less than helpful directions from the check-in desk. Otherwise, it was a good stay. Definitely a value and a good place for a larger group.

Poor customer service

My family attempted to check into this resort on a Sunday. Nothing in the e-mails I received indicated this would be a problem. The only comment made was regarding "late check-in". We did not arrive late, it was only about 5:30. The office was closed. I called the number and a guys answered. I said I was there to check-in. He indicated that he was the security guard I had just passed at the front gate. He said, "Yep the office is closed and I can't help you. You'll just have to find another place to stay tonight because they're not going to help you. It the way they are." I will never use them again nor will I recommend it to anyone. They are now denying the refund of my deposit even thought I could not check in because of them.
