Wonderful Cabin!

We stayed at Knotty Pine for a long weekend trip to Helen, GA. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the cabin. The hot tub is wonderful for cool nights after a fun day, the fire pit out back is a nice touch too! We loved that there were 3 bathrooms so we each got our own bedroom and bathroom. The location is great for visiting Helen and the road in isn’t as bad as what I expected after reading some of the reviews. We will definitely be back!

The property was good, the area is amazing, the view and the quiet hours were amazing but they need to take a little bit about the cabin and they should leave at least coffee

Womens weekend

Everything was clean,ready for us,and so nice. It was definitely a little cabin in the woods! Long winding roads to get there and some gravel as you climbed but it was so nice. Definitely would use them again!

Birthday getaway

I brought my daughter for her sweet 16th birthday. We brought two of her friends. The hot tub and ping pong table were big draws and big hits! Everything was just as I expected. This cabin is down a dirt road and very remote from the main road- yet still very close to Helen.

If I had to pick one thing that I didn't like, it's the mattress downstairs. There is a crater in the middle of the bed. It makes sleeping for two people not great.

Thanksgiving 2023

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall it was a good family Thanksgiving trip. I reported the dishwasher was leaking on Wednesday night. No one ever came to check it out before we left on Sunday morning. It was a challenge preparing a dinner with only one large pot. The downstairs bedroom definitely needs a new mattress (it sinks in the middle). The living room area needs a larger television like the one downstairs or swapped out. The housekeeping cleaning was inadequate. There was dried feces on the downstairs toilet seat upon arrival(even though there was a paper seal on it like it had been properly cleaned). One of the chairs had a large amount of bird poop on the headrest part preventing you from being able to sit back in it on the side porch. I picked the location because it was close to downtown Helen. I love how beautiful they decorate for the holidays. I'll probably choose a different property in the future for my family.

Great cabin for small group retreats

I stayed with my sisters and nieces and my daugter. It was an girls only vacation just for the weekend with the intent of going tubing in Helen. The cabin was comfortable and had all the necessary utensils in the kitchen and enough towels. No towels for the hot tub or if you are going to the river, so bring your own. Make sure to bring every condiment and seasoning that your food will need. The water is very hot so be careful when showering. I didn't use the hot tub but my sisters said it was good and clean. Be careful outside, we saw a copperhead in the patio where the hot tub is. We also saw a deer. I would have liked to have a mop and extra hand towels for the kitchen. Be patient if using the washer, it does a weird lid lock/release cycle that makes you think the washer is not working, but it really is. Bring your laundry detergent if you plan to bring home clean clothes, specially if you go to the river. The road is gravel, which makes it fun going up and down the hills on the way to the cabin. There is a small waterfall in one of the main gravelk roads whick makes it a good picture spot. I got courtesy calls asking if all was ok. I do recommend this cabin, neighbors are far and you will not hear anyone.

Knotty Pine, Not a fairy tale but enough hair for a real tail.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything to do with check in, check out, and a clogged toilet went smoothly. The cabin itself was beautiful, however, downstairs floors and stairs to were absolutely filthy. I dropped a clean garbage bag of laundry down the stairs and the outside was so filthy I wouldn't even use it in the trash can. Balls of human hair, dog hair and dirt were all over it. If I had known the first night I would have insisted it be cleaned professionally. The furniture was unaffiliated for the 8 people advertised. The futon should never be listed as a full sized bed but fortunately I brought an air mattress "just in case." There was seating for 6 at the table. There was a small chair at a nearby desk we used. There was 1 sofa (3), 2 chairs (2), 2 tickets (2), totaling 7 for the living room. All the furniture was badly damaged except the 2 rocking chairs. The kitchen has maybe 8 spoons all together so we bought plastic. The "Teflon" pans were scratched and peeling. There were maybe 2 pans adequate for meals. The whole kitchen looked like an afterthought. We did find adequate towels but there were only 7 pillows in the whole house. We bought pillows and cases. And not a throw pillow spare cases in the place to make up the difference. I've done a lot of rentals, own 2 time shares, and stayed in lots of voyeurs and campgrounds. O also own long term rentals and I don't think I've left a wire review. I realize the rentals are premium during the holidays and I was lucky to find one on short notice but this was the most I've ever paid for the worst condition I've ever stayed in. Oh, and 8 people produce a lot of trash. Need some thing better than "bring it down to the rental office. Thank goodness for GPS!I'm not into knick knacks but property furnishings are a must!You might also add more than 1 board game and what was with those videos?!I did leave a tip as I used to be a motel maid but not as much as usual.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Excellent rental experience. Check-in was smooth. Sherry is amazing!!!! The house was clean. The beds were comfy. Enough bath towels for all guests. The last road leading up to the cabin is unpaved and rocky. In dry weather, any car will travel just fine through that road. If you are traveling on an icy day, be cautious.

Great place to stay! Minor inconveniences, overall great place!

The place to stay in Helen was great! Overall, it had tons of room & for the cleanliness was great, communication with the rental property was also great and they did check in! Other than that, I do think we were a little unaware of the drive getting to the house on the rocky road and hills. I definitely recommend four-wheel-drive if you have it, depending on weather! The showers had a little bit of an issue draining. Otherwise, it was a really great trip! They include WiFi out there which is nice because of the service not being too great! 8/10 place!

Dirt Road

I wish the 4 minute or more dirt road the cabin is on was listed as a warning! The dirt road is not safe for small cars! It is also a one car road and some spots are hard to see a car coming head on. There are hills and some very rough spots. Besides the road the cabin was amazing, will say the upstairs bedroom does get hotter then the rest of the rooms and the downstairs rooms get a lot cooler.
