We had a wonderful stay. The view was great, the location was great. Everything was clean, cute, and comfy. We had plenty of room. We loved all the little extra touches for example the loght switches had cute lables for which light they were and the cabin/helenbook
Beautiful property and cabin. While it is located .3 miles from downtown, you wouldn't want to walk it, especially at night. Secluded drive straight up. However there is parking at the bottom of White St
It was a beautiful cabin close to downtown Helen. Me & my husband unfortunately weren’t able to make the walk from the cabin to town due to being out of shape. The walk to town & back has to many hills for us old timers. Was a very short drive for us & we enjoyed our stay.
Rained all but a day or so all week, but the cabin was nice, relaxing and we really enjoyed the porch, the hot tub, the fire pit and the view. We will be back.
This house was in the perfect location and just the right size for our family of four. I loved that it had a fenced in area for the kids and dog.
We weren’t able to connect to the internet during our stay but that just meant more time spent together! 😊
We were looking for a quick getaway before school and work took back over. We rented Moondance on a whim and are so glad we did. In the heart of Helen, but set back enough so you have some peace and quiet. Accommodations were exactly as advertised, we will definitely be going back!
We enjoyed the cabin. Helen was a cool little place. The lower floor was a little chilly, we didn’t notice the little space heater when we first arrived.
We saw a Black Bear through the kitchen window!!
We really enjoyed this secluded location on top of the hill/mountain.
Great views off the deck each morning.
Great views from the hot tub of the stars at night.
The fireplace (once we found the control behind the chair to the side of the fireplace) was awesome!
In 2 min we were downtown doing the things we wanted to do.
The house/cabin could use some upgrades but still nice!
We are so grateful to have found the perfect place to stay now and in the future. The location is wonderful, close to town while being far enough away to feel secluded and get away from our busy lifestyles for a bit.
The home had everything we needed, including a great walk out basement perfect for our dog’s crate and her things while also being a very relaxing tv and game room.
We LOVE the outdoor space…looking out into the mountains in rocking chairs. The fire pit was so much fun and perfect for our final evening with s’mores.
The modern kitchen had all the appliances we needed to cook great meals, including a gas stove and oven, dishwasher and large refrigerator/freezer. We brought some of our own cleaning supplies and a Kurig kcup to make things a bit easier but it was not necessary.
Thank you MoonDance for a wonderful stay. We will miss you until next time!
The location is great. The house is fantastic. Bad thing is the dirt road going to the house is horrible. My SUV almost got stuck going up to the house. If you drive a sedan, you will never be able to get up to the house. Please fix the road. Thanks
Property was the perfect distance away from the excitement in town. You easily can walk to where you wanted to go but then still quiet enough to enjoy the surrounding nature. We did have WiFi issues and I know there were some recent tower problems in the area. We were not there to stare at devices anyway so no biggie. The cabin was well maintained and plenty of space. We really enjoyed having access to the Unicoi/Helen trail directly across the street where you can enjoy a pleasant 5+mile hike round trip if you go all the way to the park. There are lots of wineries to enjoy in the area but will require some driving. You will not be disappointed when you pick this cabin.

Good Property, Nice Stay
Good property with a beautiful view - fantastic fire pit, plenty of room, fun fuse ball table. It's technically walkable (distance wise), but the road is very unsafe (one lane, one way, hard to see) if you would be walking with children or late at night it would be very unsafe.
We ended up driving to town which was not ideal, and paying to park ($10 a day). If you don't care about walkability, the location is great. For the price per night, the owner should fix the master bedroom fan as it's so noisy it kept us up, but we needed it due to being warm in the middle level (bottom level was extremely cool). Also, might want to upgrade the pans as they were cheap and were not non-stick. The cabin was overall very clean - except there were a lot of fruit flies in the kitchen when we arrived, which stayed around until we covered the drain and took the trash out a lot. The WiFi is intermittent at best so if you're going to do any work or have kids with devices - not a good fit. However, if you are going to unplug - it's great! Back porch was incredible view and was so fun to relax each evening or listen to the rain.
Overall, good, fun stay with our family! We just ended up leaving a day early due to the dangerous road, intermittent WiFi and noisy fan.
