Guests will truly enjoy River`s Edge. This rustic 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin is the perfect place to enjoy nature while listening to the sounds of the river running by from the open deck overhanging the river. A fisherman`s paradise - trout fishing right in front of your own cabin - catch your limit on the beautiful clear waters of the fast flowing Chattahoochee River.

The property is close to the Chattahoochee Wildlife Management Preserve and there is something for everyone in the area: fishing, hiking, river tubing, or horseback riding at Sunburst Stables or just relaxing in the hot tub on the deck as you watch the river flow by. Could it get any better than this?

This perfect spot for rest and relaxation is located close to nature and the headwaters of the Upper Chattahoochee River and only 1 mile from the vibrant center of Helen, GA. This cozy cabin is located just minutes from the shopping and dining of the delightful alpine village of Helen, GA and a short drive to the spectacular Anna Ruby Falls, Dukes Creek Falls, Smithgall Woods Center and Unicoi State Park. It is the perfect vacation cabin for a couple or small family.

River`s Edge is lovingly cared for and features a cozy stone, wood-burning fireplace, wood paneling throughout, and a well equipped kitchen with everything you need.

We had a great time at River’s Edge. The cabin was cozy, clean, and exactly what we were hoping for. The fire pit was a highlight—perfect for relaxing evenings by the river.The location couldn’t be better: right on the river and just minutes from downtown Helen, so it felt peaceful without being remote.The host was attentive, responsive, and available whenever we needed anything, which made the stay completely stress-free.Would absolutely stay here again. Five stars all the way.

nice 2 bedroom 2 bathroom set up with full kitchen and plenty of entertainment (board games, tv, outside activities, etc). We visited in the winter so it was a bit too chilly to do much hiking or water activities. The location is "off the path" -- grateful they sent some instructions in the guestbook about finding the entrance otherwise we would have been so lost. Too far to walk to main st but still enjoyable stay.Everything was enjoyable and comfortable for our 3 day, two night stay. The beds were soft and comfortable. Wifi works. Fireplace was gas and had a nice timer feature. The pictures do not show you that across the river, looking out from the back porch, the neighbors have a graveyard of broken down vehicles sitting in the yard. Perhaps the trees would conceal it a bit more in the summer when they're lush and full. We thought it was a secluded area, but there are many houses surrounding it across the river. Not enough to notice any noises or things, but keep in mind that if you were on the deck or in the hot tub you can be seen by neighbors.I will note that, you do need to sign a VERY lengthy rental agreement document that involves reading a lengthy terms and conditions document from the renters website and it all feels much too intense, especially since booking through VRBO you already agree to certain terms and conditions. But understand that the renters likely found it necessary due to unfortunate prior experience.

Pictures on ad were misleading, thought my husband and I would be staying in a private cabin, but our view across from the creek was a home with a bunch of junk in the yard, hot tub didn’t work, and would have been pointless to sit in the hot tub with no privacy because the neighbor was constantly walking around his yard. Bed was comfortable and the atmosphere inside was cozy, and I liked the convenience of being close to downtown Helen. Wouldn’t stay there again though, no privacy was a big factor.

The location is unbeatable, but I was extremely disappointed with the difference in the pictures on Vrbo and the actual cabin. The cabin's interior design is not as advertised. Also, the pictures on Vrbo fail to show the junkyard across the river. The flood lights were also out. They sent someone to change them, but they never worked. Being in bear territory, the lights would have helped in the evening and at night for safety. Also, there was a layer of dust over everything in the cabin when we arrived. I'm assuming it was cleaned a while ago and was not cleaned before we arrived.

Wonderful cabin right on the river! We enjoyed the spacious cabin, especially the deck over the river. This was the perfect spot for a weekend of trout fishing! After fishing and exploring the town it was nice to come “home” to a relaxing hot tub and roasting marshmallows at the fire pit. We’re already planning our return trip next year!

Rustic yet modern

This cabin is rustic yet modern. We loved that it was secluded yet close enough to town to make quick trips (you could walk if you wanted to). It was easy once we arrived as all of the access information and detailed map instruction was text to us before we arrived. It was spotless which immediately put us at ease as we were travelling with a 1 yr. old (if you have one, you know how much they love to pick up anything they see and go straight to their mouth with it). The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking/eating utensils.The linens/towels were clean and fresh and each bathroom had a "welcome" bag of toiletries which is nice as I always tend to forget something. The beds and furniture are comfortable to the point of dozing off on them a time or two. The front porch hangs slightly over the river so we had a 'blast' shooting water guns at tubers (per their request of course). The kids loved playing in the water. The river, at rhe time, was at the perfect level to sit down in and cool off and not have to worry about it being too deep for the kids. We were planning on doing the tubing trip but had more fun staying at the cabin and interacting with the 'tubers'. There is a fire pit right next to the river if you want to stay outside and a grill (and hot tub) on the deck. I will definitely re-book this place.

Relaxing River Retreat

Our stay was amazing! Going to sleep at night with the sound of the river was so peaceful. We loved being able to wake up in the morning and sip our coffee overlooking the babbling river. We definitely plan on booking this rental again.

Perfect get away

We enjoyed this cabin so much! Everything was clean. Beds were very comfortable. Weather was rainy. But we still got to enjoy the nice deck on the river amd the hot tub! Definitely will stay again!
