「The property was immaculately clean, and spacious. The cooktop is only two burners, but this is more than made up for by the Nespresso coffee maker, the microwave and bake oven, and a very well functioning Weber barbecue.We all enjoyed the sparkling, clean, hot tub.While a 20 minute drive from Selfoss, this location was perfect for us for tours to Grindvik, Geysir, Thingvellir, Vik and the multiple beautiful waterfalls.」

「This place is 5 stars. We stayed at one of two cabin’s on Renate’s horse farm. Our cabin was located close enough to Selfoss, and Golden Circle, but far enough where you have a peaceful river, horses, and quiet. We read about how folks wished they had more time here, and made it a point to stay for three nights, so we could enjoy the cabin, land, and views on mornings and evenings after touring. 「Beautiful setting; great location for visiting southern coastline attractions. Remarkably well stocked kitchen with spices, paper products, cleaning supplies, glassware, dishes, flatware, cooking utensils, etc. Beautiful deck, nice hot tub. Served our family of 12 well. Only shortcomings were lack of space to store food. We were 6 kids and 6 adults -- therefore we did most of our cooking at the house to be cost effective. We arrived with lots and lots of groceries and no place to store them...

「If you like being out of the way Afternoon Cottages is a great jumping off point for adventuring. It is well equipped and very clean. It has a great price point and very basic. It worked great for us because it was simply a place to cook dinner and sleep. You have access to all the necessities about 25 minutes away in Hella. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.」
