Bicentennial House across from the DeFlorin Stone House
The Stone House had too many narrow stairways for 3 elderly ladies (somehow we missed this important detail in the description when booking) so our host kindly moved us across the street to the Bicentennial House which was perfect for our 1-night stay. We loved the Bicentennial House with spacious rooms, a formal dining area and most adequate kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Hermann, MO. We took full advantage of the shuttle service through Hermann Crown Suites to tour the town and vineyards. Everyone was incredibly hospitable. A wonderful day trip! Thanks.

We truly loved staying here ! It was a very cool place with a lot of history throughout. The check in was easy, fast response from the owner, the shuttle driver was great and as always a good time at the winery and bars close by !

not 100% pet friendly
The house was okay & we loved the location. Hermann is a beautiful town. My complaint is one of their rules is that pets can never be left unattended in the room. We were fortunate that we stayed during a slow weekend and it was in the 40's - so we could park in front of the restaurants we dined at to keep an eye on the 2 pugs in the car. Also your pets are restricted to certain rooms. Would love to come back to Hermann but would look for a different rental

Great overnight stop in Hermann along the Katy trail. The house was perfect for our group of four, we could have had 6 easily. Nice dinner options in the area and a great breakfast buffet was included.

Distillery Tour
Wonderful historical home. Lots of quirks and love the outdoor space. Our 2nd time staying here. However, we were very disappointed there was not a sleeper sofa as listed. Crown Suites is a good property to stay with.

This was a cozy house that seemed small at first but once on lower level it was more spacious. Spent a lot of time in the lower level. We enjoyed the period style decorations. It was fun to stay in a historic home.

The property is really beautiful with the brick house. The house has everything you need to have a peaceful relaxing vacation. The property is also pet friendly. It’s very clean and everything was easily accessible. It’s very close to the town and the manager is very easy to contact and gave quick respond.

Historic means old
While we liked the idea of a historic house, we weren’t really prepared for what that meant. Strange room arrangement, dark, steep stairs. Granted I will say I didn’t get to go on the trip so I am going by what my friends told me. The pros: it was close to everything and my communication with Steve on here was good. However, the fact that they book through Vrbo as well as directly as part of an inn was confusing. I had paid in full in advance for the cottage but when they arrived to check in they were told that my card was only used to hold the reservation and were charged again. They had already paid me for their part of the fee so they asked us to pay them back. I communicated with Steve and he was able to resolve it and get them a full refund although that process took several days to go through. Also, the other cons were the breakfast which consisted of a bagel and oatmeal. And they told me that the 2 nicest bedrooms are upstairs but there is no bathroom up there so no one stayed in those rooms. And the sheets and towels need an upgrade. Overall, not the B & B experience we were expecting.

Had a wonderful weekend celebrating my birthday in Hermann. The house setup is definitely odd (kitchen in basement and no bar setup for main floor living room) but we made it work. There were some bugs and a wasp in the house upon check-in. But other than that we loved it!

Quaint Cottage
Several family members spent a weekend together in Hermann at this charming home. We came in on the train and didn't have our own transportation, so the shuttle offered through this property was very convenient. The complimentary buffet breakfast offered at the Hotel was very nice, also. The house does have lots of narrow stairs, but our older group (ages 56 - 74) managed just fine. We ran into some issues late Saturday evening at the house, but the manager and owner were very responsive. I would definitely recommend any of their properties.

A quaint historic home
Everything about our stay was great from parking to the home itself. As other reviews have mentioned, there are 2 sets of stairs from the main entrance. One goes down to the kitchen and other bedrooms and the other goes up to other bedrooms. Plenty of space, but the stairs are difficult if you are larger or if you have bad knees. Great place though!

Wonderful and fascinating!
We came to town for a wedding and thoroughly enjoyed the Stone Cottage. It’s history is fascinating, and the location was great for an impromptu walk around town, trip to the playground, and patio time visiting with friends. We were very comfortable and appreciated the owner’s extra touches.

Great Getaway!
3 girlfriends and I stayed here while we explored Hermann and the wineries. It was a great place to stay, and conveniently located. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast at the hotel as well. Its just 2 blocks walk downhill to enjoy the breakfast, and live entertainment at the bar. Also, the shuttle service was fantastic! $10 per person for ALL day... it was great, just call, and they would pick you up and take you to wherever. The house is so cute and older feel. It is definitely not for anyone with knee issues or anyone that can't walk up/down narrow stairways. The stairs downstairs to the kitchen are very tight and narrow, as well as the stair to get to the upstairs bedrooms. Other than that, we loved it here!!

We had a girl's trip for a birthday and we had so much fun. The property was great and the staff was amazing. The booking and check in process was easy and fast. Our driver, Renee, was awesome. We had great conversation and laughs with her. She was quick to come get us to shuttle us around every time. We will be back and using them again!
