Value for money

For the money this hotel was brilliant. Although it could do with some TLC the staff were friendly and helpful! The one thing which was annoying was that there was an extra change for air con.

Petra Village Apartments

Situato a pochi passi dal corso principale della località turistica di Chersoniso, il Petra Village si trova in una posizione strategica e vantaggiosa per chi voglia godersi una vacanza in un centro vivace, ma anche per chi voglia spostarsi per visitare il resto dell'isola (come ho fatto io, noleggiando un auto), nonostante si trovi piuttosto in salita. Tuttavia, sebbene il complesso residenziale fosse particolarmente carino, con le sue casette tutte in salita e le scale per raggiungerle, la piscina e il servizio wifi, e altro, ho riscontrato anche diversi punti deboli da risolvere assolutamente: l'impatto con la camera è stato molto negativo, al nostro arrivo non funzionavano due lampadine, l'asta che avrebbe dovuto reggere la tendina era pendente e rotta, mancavano pentole per cucinare e le piastre elettriche per cucinare erano guaste. Nonostante l'addetto abbia provveduto in serata alle luci, e ci abbia fornito poi un'altra pentola e ci abbia anche aggiustato le piastre, tuttavia non è conveniente che un complesso turistico presenti un appartamento in queste condizioni ad un cliente, prima di risolvere gli eventuali problemi. Inoltre la hall chiude nel primo pomeriggio e quindi bisogna rivolgersi al personale del bar che molti problemi non è in grado di risolverli. Impatto negativo, il resto del soggiorno è stato tutto sommato buono, ottima la posizione che consente facilmente i raggiungere i maggiori punti di interesse dell'isola.

Very basic but adequate

It was very hot and there was not enough shade around the pool, and the walk to the beach was a very long way. Although we enjoyed our holiday my husband and I being in our seventies found the hotel a bit remote.

old rooms for renovation and great hotel staff

Hotel reception and swimming pool area look quite nice however the apartments require some renovation. The rooms are not small, however their facilities are not in the best shape. Our bathroom didn't have any ventilation itself and thus we had a big black mould on the ceiling! The reason why the overall rate is 3 and not 2 is the hotel staff that is really helpful and cheerful. Many thanks for that!

Great location and friendly staff

Had a great stay at Petra Village from 25th Sept to 2nd Oct 15.Shame the weather wasn't a bit sunnier although it didn't stop us getting out and about. The bar staff Janos and Manos were very friendly particular Manos. The complex its self is very nice and the 1 bed apartments are clean and spacious however need better cooking facilities. The complex is approx a 10 min walk away from Koutouloufari village which has a good selection of restaurants, bars and nice gift shops. The village is very pretty and busy with tourists. You can walk a further 5/10 mins and it will take you to Piskopiano village which again has restaurants and bars. If you feel energetic you can walk approx a further 30 mins and you will come to old Koutouloufari town (drove through it on a quad bike). If you walk outside the apartment and turn right then immediately left you will walk down a steep hill (turn right at bottom) and this will take you to a big supermarket and Star Beach and to the main centre of Hersonissos. The hill is fine to walk down but very steep walking back up. A taxi costs approx 7 euros and money well spent. There are lovely restaurants and shops in the centre and lots of places to hire cars, mopeds and quad bikes. We hired a quad for 1 day to get out and about and it was great. I would recommend driving up the mountains as the view is spectacular. Also paid a visit to Mali and Sissi. I would defo recommend PV but remember it is a 3 star so dont expect a five star.

Pool unhaltbar kaputt (Unterwasserstrahler hängen aus der Fassung, Düsenabdeckung fehlt) !Verletzungsgefahr! Zimmer war ein Raucherzimmer (was es eigentlich nicht geben sollte) Küchengeräte in schlechtem Zustand Risse mit Schimmel in der Decke und im Bad "Betten" (Beton mit Matraze) unbequem (ich spüre die Federn noch) und fast nur getrennte Betten im Hotel Handtücher unbrauchbar da gestunken. Fazit: Geht lieber Zelten als dorthin PS: Ruhige Lage, nettes Dorf, Schöne Aussicht, netter Garten

Appartment ist einfach eingerichtet. Küchenausstattung ungenügend, keine Kaffeemaschine. Campingplattenkocher mit sehr kleinen Kochplatten. Frühstück kann vor Ort zugebucht werden, Preis verhandelbar aber das Frühstück ist wirklich sehr einfach. Keine Moskitonetze vor den Fenstern, Mückenspray empfehlenswert.

Ikävä kyllä hotelli ei täyttänyt mitään odotuksia jos niitä nyt kummemmin oli. Allas erittäin epäpuhdas (vihreä ja samea) huoneet haisi tupakalle. Palvelu oli kyllä nopeaa kun esim wc meni muutaman kerran rikki 3 yön aikana. Budjettimatkailijaa puhutteleva paikka, muuten mieti uudestaan...

Premesso che non siamo delle persone molto esigenti e non amiamo la vita da spiaggia, la posizione del residence è stata per noi molto comoda. Ogni giorno ci organizzavamo un itinerario diverso e con l'auto, presa a noleggio, trascorrevamo tutto il giorno fuori a visitare i vari siti archeologici e le principali città.

Lieu paisible et agréable, dans un cadre joli et plutôt sympathique bordé d'oliviers et vue sur la mer. Petit studio très fonctionnel un petit bémol cependant pour la mauvaise odeur (problème d'égouts ?) dans la salle de bain.

Nice hotel, nice pool, friendly staff

The only negative thing I can think to say about this hotel is the hill that it is on! But it gives some good exercise. And you can always have tea in the hotel if you don't fancy the walk even if you're not all inclusive for only a tenner.

Hotel für kurze Menschen :)

Die Apartments sind einfach und gut ausgestattet. Für Menschen ab 1,75m sind die Betten allerdings zu kurz. Auch der Zimmerservice war mit Reinigung etc. vermutlich eher unorganisiert, zumindest war das Appartment ohnehin nicht super sauber und der Wechsel von Bettwäsche o.ä. funktionierte nicht wie ausgeschrieben. Warmwasser gibt es nur vor Sonnenuntergang. Wir waren enttäuscht, dass wir für Klimaanlage u.a. extra zahlen sollten. Desweiteren stimmt es nicht, dasss es wlan gibt. Dieses ist nur zeitweise am Pool verfügbar. Der Pool wiederum ist eher trübe, da sämtliche Gäste diesen ohne vorher zu duschen benutzen.die dusche war ohnehin mit Poolspielzeug blockiert. Der Eigentümer der Anlage war aber sehr nett und hilfsbereit, was etwas entschädigte.

Very hospitable, beautiful views, good facilities

Good base for exploring local area, 10 minute walk downhill to beach and bus stops for getting around the Island, and lots of very welcoming tavernas with good food nearby - as well as shops and bars. Apartments well designed to give privacy, with lovely planting and keeping relatively cool in Juky heat.

Nice reasonably flat walk into Koutalafari and not a problem for us but could be for others. Good value for what we paid & very clean. Double bed upstairs on mezzanine floor & downstairs 2 single beds & large staircase filled what would have been a nice floor space! I asked if that was standard throughout even for 2 & was told almost all rooms had 4 beds! First thing I want to do on arrival is have a comfort break and wash my hands, there wasn't even a small soap in the room so have to unpack sponge bag first. Reception was unmanned, had to go upstairs to pool/bar area to find someone. Friendly staff and pretty gardens. Probably a good place for a family with kids looking for a budget holiday.
