Huisje ziet er van buitenaf pittoresk uit. Ligging ook mooi qua rust, ruimte en uitzicht. Helaas van binnen veel achterstallig onderhoud. Veels te veel meubilair, wat ook nog eens zeer verouderd is. Slechte bedden, sanitair wel relatief modern maar helaas ook vies door constant overlopende afvoerputjes. Toiletpotten stonden zelfs los. Huis heeft wel veel voorzieningen zoals vaatwasser, wasmachine, droger en tv met Netflix. Maar pas na flinke opknapbeurt van binnen, heeft het huis potentie voor een zorgeloze vakantie. In deze staat zou het niet verhuurd mogen worden.

De ligging in rustig straatje is met kinderen zeer goed. In het weinig gepoetste huisje geen ruimte wegens te veel meubilair ,nutteloze kasten ,te veel zetels,stoelen..lawaaierige vaatwas en waterpomp . Synthetisch ,versleten beddegoed ..kapot vies keukengerief..ouwe boeken..

L’accueil n'était pas mauvais, gardez en tête néanmoins que c'est en Flandre occidentale donc bien que le propriétaire sait se faire comprendre en français ce n'est pas forcément la norme. Ne venez pas trop nombreux étant donné que la maison est petite et que des 8 lits seuls 6 étaient en bon état, un des sommiers étant une épave et le lit de la chambre du rez de chaussée étant infester d'insectes. Aussi une des chambres de l'étage a une fenêtre avec un trou dedans, à la fin de notre semaine de séjour une des trois personnes dormant dans cette chambre avait une vingtaine de piqûre de moustiques, et ce en ne comptant que son avant-bras droit, main comprise. Ce n'est pas tout, car si vous voulez cuisiner pour un grand nombre vous devrez probablement amener vos propres ustensiles de cuisine, ceux fournis étant inadaptés à la cuisine pour plus de 4 personnes.

Kerstversiering zorgde direct voor de goede sfeer. De ligging en de gelijkvloerse slaapkamer was in orde. Prachtig uitzicht. Heerlijke houtkachel die voor prima sfeer zorgt. Van de douches deed 1 het prima maar de andere gaf kokend water. Na wachten op de eigenaar zeer vriendelijke ontvangst. Goed De bedden waren netjes opgemaakt maar niet alle bedden waren even goed van kwaliteit. Maar, het was er wel vuil, zelfs het servies is eerst afgewassen. Mijn man heeft de vaatwasmachine in orde gemaakt voordat we dit konden doen. Ondanks de goede keuken was er maar weinig keukenmateriaal, of het was kapot. En toch zouden we terugkomen indien van toepassing. Het was wel waar naar zijn geld. Een redelijk huis voor 8 personen en het nodige gelijkvloers voor een minder mobiel persoon. Daarom redelijk tot goed!

Klein gezellig huisje in de Westhoek! Vriendelijk ontvangen met flesje wijn van de huisbaas! Prachtige omgeving met zicht op Kemmelberg, Rode Berg , Zwarte Berg enz. Prachtig parcours voor onze mountainbike-rit teruggevonden. BBQ aanwezig, alsook WIFI! Minpuntje tijdens ons verblijf.. storend geluid van waterpomp die steeds aanslaat. Maar zoals we al zeiden, fijn weekend ineen fijn verblijf!

Het huisje was kleiner dan verwacht, maar gezellig. Met onze familie konden we er perfect met z'n allen slapen en eten. Alles wat er stond leek er eeuwen te staan. Leuk, maar voor sommige dingen wat minder prettig een matras met ene put erin zodat je bijna op de grond lag, lakens die niet fris ruikten (waren ze eerder beslapen... brrrr...). Het enige grote minpunt vonden we de tuin die niet afgebakend bleek te zijn. Dit stond duidelijk in de beschrijving en met een hond was het echt noodzakelijk. Het huisje is omringd door velden en we waren bang de hond te verliezen. Dat was dus een echte pretbederver, want de hond kon niet buiten hollen, maar moest binnen blijven. De eigenaar kwam zichzelf heel vriendelijk voorstellen en was bereikbaar.

Huisje is groot genoeg maar staat vol met oude meubelen en stoelen welke echt aan vervanging toe zijn Kachel voldoet maar pook ontbreekt zodat je op je handen moet passen bij het stoken Badkamer was uitgesproken vies en door ons gereinigd evenals douchegordijn Tuin zou afgeschot zijn maar was open stonden wel palen maar gaas ontbrak Gevaarlijke vijver voor gezinnen met kleine kinderen

We had a great week in Westouter. Beautiful area, near Lille and Ypres. Two very impressive cities. The view from the house is beautiful. The decor is "rustic". The owner informed us that he was growing. After our stay There is a second toilet and the bathroom he refurbishing. The spiral staircase is replaced by a real kick. The owner is incredibly friendly. We just had a problem with the flow and he came immediately to fix it. However, the bedding is almost worn out and the house was not very clean. We had brought himself happy bedding. There are advantages and disadvantages to this house.

With the whole family on weekends, all young adults and 1 grandchild and 2 (large) dogs (labrador). Visit to Poperinge (much documentation in the cottage). Walk around the Abbey of Westvleteren. enjoy the sun on the terrace while the grandson sleeps.
