First, the owner has stocked the chalet with all the kitchen utensils and dishes needed for a short stay, including dog bowls! (We only really missed our tea kettle/electric kettle.) Also there are all the blankets and pillows and sheets and towels and such you'd want, even given that it's a lakeside chalet in the mountains. The rooms are quite spacious. The lakeside deck has a handrail and gate so all but the smallest dogs (or climber kids) would be safe out there. For us older folks, do be aware that there are stairs at both entries and a step up into the shower (no bathtub.) The outside could use a bit of paint and knocking the cobwebs down more often, and we let the owner know she needed an exterminator to take care of the few roaches we found roaming inside, so that probably won't be a problem again.
