For an older hotel it is not a bad place to spend a few days... Nothing special but nothing really bad about it. Within walking distance of a lot of good sites, I (we) would stay there again.

Reeds Bay was clean, friendly staff, close to everything, but for sure it’s for the minimalist! No AC, Steps only and worst of all the WiFi was terrible

Right on the bay, close to airport, beautiful park and Kens Hoise of Pancakes (local favorite). Room was clean but the hotel is very old/dated, no a/c, wifi works best in common areas, no elevator, tught parking for larger vehicles. It worked for one night as I needed to be close to airport.

The staff was extremely helpful , especially the security staff. There a few steps in front of the building and a few to the 1st floor. The security staff carried our luggage right to our room. The facility is dated but very well suited for visiting Hilo. Very close to the airport and downtown. Definitely would stay there again.

The hotel was more dated than we expected, but was very clean and well maintained. We knew there was no A/C, but the ceiling fan was more than sufficient and there was even a standing fan if we needed it. The staff were great too. The location was excellent and he view from the balcony was beautiful - overlooking the bay. We will definitely stay there again.

Generally this is a good place to stay. The view is fantastic and you can see the bay from the balcony of the room directly. The only issue is that there is no AC. Therefore, it is not a good idea to live here if the weather is too hot. The facilities are a little bit old but it still well deserves the price. If you are pursuing quality-price ratio, this is a very good choice.

The hotel is definitely old with limited parking. First impressions aside, it is located on the bay in a quiet part of Hilo. The rooms too were old and had not been renovated in a while, but ours was spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
