Great Location in Shipyard Plantation

This lovely 3 bedroom townhouse was the perfect place for our family. We enjoyed riding bikes safely throughout the property, especially to the beach! The pool is very close as were several tennis courts. We especially enjoyed the deck with an awning over the dining table. The property was centrally located with easy access to the public beach, restaurants, grocery store, and shopping. We enjoyed meals at Mi Terra, Skull Creek Boathouse, and Java Burrito. If I had any recommended improvements, it would be to have faster internet, but in the overall scheme of things, that was minor. We highly recommend this property.

Very Disappointed

This property is located in a great spot. It is close to the pool but too far for us to walk to the beach access. It is close ( driving distance) to a lot of area restaurants and attractions. Unfortunately, the unit itself is in need of a lot of maintenance and housekeeping. When we arrived you could see crumbs and grease residue on kitchen appliances, the oven looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years, the washing machine was running over with dirty towels, patio was covered with leaves and bathroom vanity was full of empty beer cases. Maintenance wise in the upstairs bathrooms the paint was peeling off the walls, all of the sinks leaked profusely, the barbecue grill was rusted out and potentially a fire hazard. Comfort wise the beds were horrendously uncomfortable (I woke up in actual pain until my wife fashioned a pallet on top with blankets), there is only one ceiling fan in the whole house. Bring floor fans with you , you will need them (not only to cool yourself but to drown out the leaking faucets). Due to COVID there were no chairs at the pool so you had to carry your own (thank goodness it was close by). The beach access was nice. They have bathrooms and showers available. They also have umbrella and chairs available for $38 a day (9 to 5). I should also mention no dogs are allowed on beach from 10 to 5. We left a day early, couldn’t wait to get back to our own beds. Guess that about sums it up.
