House issues

Down a bathroom

We were down a bathroom the entire time because the toilet clogged into the shower, feces and all…the property manager was quick to send out a handyman. But the handyman couldn’t fix it and we never heard from anyone else. We had to call and find out if it was fixed or not, the property management had no idea, and had to call the handyman to find out…we figured not because nothing was cleaned either…and we were right. We were then told that they would continue to try and contact plumbers, but weren’t having any luck finding anyone who was immediately available. We kept having to call for updates, no one cleaned, no one called to apologize for the trouble…it was a little disheartening.

Great location, mishaps with cleaning

This is a great property. You’re about a 8 minute walk to the waterline of the beach. You’re pretty central to sea pines which means you’re about ten minute drive to harbor town, the grocery stores and everything else. So great spot in that regard. We loved the decorations and the kitchen had lots of space for cooking. There was a big table for family meals and board games. The pool in the back is nothing special but a nice option to have. In spring time, the pool was too cold to leverage because it was unheated with no option to heat it. There was a hot tub but we didn’t use it that much. The trip would have been a smashing success but there was broken glass in the master bedroom floor. If you see in the pictures, there is a rope floor so it’s easy to miss that kind of stuff and unfortunately, I stepped on it and had a sliver of glass go into my foot. Not fun on day 1 of your trip…. After some back and forth with management, they decided to send a cleaning crew out to clean up the broken glass, and gave a small comp. Overall, this was a good place to visit. Not jaded by the glass, but if you stay there just make sure the rope floor areas have been thoroughly cleaned.

Sea Pines oasis for the family

Nice layout of this ranch. Master suite is huge and tastefully done. Other 3 bedrooms were large with en-suite bath. Easy walk to beach. Only peeve is that we were there in early November for 4 nights. That means there was a $300 hot tub heating surcharge. Fortunately, the first 2 days were high 70s so we didn’t need a hot tub. They didn’t surcharge for turning on the whole house air conditioning. Again, nice place but I’m not keen on these surcharges.

great house/location

Just got back from a family vacation with 8 adults. The house is beautiful and well-maintained. The pool and hot tub in backyard are a great bonus. Family room/dining area and kitchen all large enough to accommodate 8. Each room has it's own bathroom. Location is centrally located in Sea Pines-not far from beach, south beach, harbour town Only cons are the doors to each bedroom are louvre doors so sound travels and the twin bed mattresses need updating and are not comfortable for adults
