Unit needs more attention and basic upgrades.

The Island Club's location and amenities are top notch: easy access to the beach and pools for every age. Unfortunately, our experience with this unit was negative. As you walk in, you are assaulted by the smell of cigarette smoke left from the previous owner's smoking habit. Not enough remediation was done, and we breathed the smell the whole time we were there, even with the ac on. It even stuck to our washed clothes. Families beware: currently there's one flimsy door lock that is hard to close properly, you can't just close the door and assume it's locked. You have to push it in and hear it click or else anybody from the outside can just walk in. No inside lock: your kid can easily open the door and walk out without you noticing. Scary thought. The guest bedroom faces the hallway and elevator, which provides much noise and light at night, but there's no curtains in that room when it needs it badly. Curtains in master bedroom were broken when we arrived and the unit was not cleaned properly. The wifi is particularly weak. You can hear your upstairs neighbor sneeze and walk around. Our stay was mixed because the location and resort was nice, but the unit needs more attention, investment, and basic upgrades.
