Wonderful location next to Forest Preserve. Loved the glass sliding doors opening on to the back screen porch and deck overlooking the lagoon. Felt enclosed by nature'- wild swamp life, herons, egrets and a full moon - reviving a sense of wonder and awe.

Sea Pines Natural Beauty

We really enjoyed our stay at Sea Pines-Carolina Place on Hilton Head Island. Our favorite was the screened in porch and watching the wildlife glide by, be it birds, turtles or alligators. The beds were comfortable. The kids loved the pool but it wasn’t heated and the hot tub was out of order. The TVs were very small by today’s standards but the WiFi was good. The dishwasher didn’t work and we needed to wash dishes by hand. Mgmt responded after 3 days with attempting to fix it but it ended up leaking on the floor. Further mgmt discussions weren’t answered. The washer and dryer worked great. There was minimal toilet paper and we didn’t have enough for our week stay. We rented bikes and enjoyed the nature preserve next door. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Great Stay!

We enjoyed our visit to Carolina Place. Very nicely decorated and very clean. Close to everything including the beach club. The only negative would be that it might be time to change the master mattress. It’s sloped on both sides. Other than that, a very pleasant stay and we would stay there again

Family Vacation

The place was as advertised in pictures. Our condo was not thoroughly cleaned when we arrived. Hair in the bathrooms from the previous guests. Roaches in the kitchen and in the loft bedroom the whole week of stay. The pullout couch was dirty under the cushions lots of food and crumbs were left from who knows how long. The beds were comfortable and the condo very well stocked with starter supplies and amenities.

Vacasa was TERRIBLE, but the house was okay.

Overall there was nothing spectacular about this house besides the view. The kitchen is small and understocked, and working with Vacasa to get a second kitchen trash bag for my one week stay with my family was handled poorly, with me feeling like I was being made fun of by the Vacasa staff. The cleanliness was a mess after you take a second to look. Items left by previous guests (including acrylic nails *in* the linens) dust on vents, and hair ties all around. Aside from that the TVs are old and inappropriate for the space. The sound is crinkly at low volumes. Overall I’m completely underwhelmed for what we paid.

Good home base

The property was fine, it was what we expected, it wasn’t overpriced so we didn’t expect luxury, it was clean, comfortable, spacious, and functional. We didn’t come to Hilton Head to stay in the house, we came to explore, so this was a good location to have access to the beach, or any restaurant or activities you’re looking for. We visited Savanna and Charleston, the drives were not bad, there can be some crazy traffic near the resorts though. Overall, the property was fine.

Carolina Place -Perfect

This 3B/3B was beautiful. Situated in Sea Pines on a canal provided all the scenery and natural entertainment we needed. It was very clean and the most well appointed unit we have ever stayed at (and we’ve been coming for 50 years!) The kitchen had two sets of dishes and every appliance and gadget we needed. We especially appreciated the sharp knives. All linens and towels were fresh and new looking. We LOVED the screen porch and the adjacent deck. We would definitely try to rent this unit again.

Great House for family vacation

We loved the screened porch, it was perfect for card games with the family and watching the wildlife in the back yard. We had an issue with the cooling system which Vacasa was quick to remedy. They came right out to the property when my husband called to let them know the Air Conditioner was not working. 3 full bathrooms was awesome when you have a group staying and all of the beds were comfy and clean. We will definitely use VACASA for our next trip to Hilton Head!

Bugs

Place was infested with giant roaches (palmetto bugs) had to get a can of raid and spray the place down to make it livable. Probably killed two dozen in the week we were there. Fantastic location and we did love to sit in the screened in porch but the number of these bugs was quite unsettling.

Needs cleaned

Overall, the stay was good. The only issues I had was trash under the beds, stains on bedding and German cockroaches found in kitchen, bathrooms and bedroom. Not the outside roaches, but there were some of those too, the ones that live only inside and can ingest. We had to shake everything out before we packed. So only complaints are cleanliness and roach problem.

Cosy home

This house was tastefully furnished .. and quite comfortable. Would be best for single family with small children, as the upstairs loft is open and doesn’t allow for much privacy. The community pool is lovely and we enjoyed having a cookout at the pool. If you are beach lovers this might not be your first choice as it is too far to walk, little parking and the only viable option was to that the beach shuttle.

Perfect vacation!

The house was just as pictured, very clean and well-equipped. Dishwasher was leaking, but the property manager (from Vacasa) was quick to send repairman and offered to compensate when repairs were not made in a timely manner. Definitely would rent again through Vacasa and this particular location. Thanks for a splendid vacation!!!

Great house!
