Great vacay home

Nice, quiet, clean and roomy. Great place to stay and not to far from several beaches. Got to see a gator in the lagoon off the back balcony. Would definitely stay again.

Short weekend trip.

Booking and check in were easy. Good communication through email prior to trip. Property was clean. It is not a short walk to the beach., but is a short drive. We drove and parked at boardwalk.

Nice Condo

Loved the view from the deck. The rooms and furniture, with exception of an older TV, were fine. Problems were ice maker and the electrical outlets in both bathrooms did not work. Bought ice and used an extension cord and had nice 2 weeks.

Roaches everyone, wasn’t cleaned, terrible customer service

Our experience with Vacasa was absolutely terrible. We arrived at this rental on Aug 11th at 6:45 pm and the place had not been cleaned from the previous occupants. There were dead roaches every where - in the shower, in the bedrooms, and in living room. The occupants return key envelope was still there from the day before. There were dirty utensils in the sink, dirty towels in the bathroom, and the bed la were unmade. We sent pictures to the property manager and asked another place - as it was evening and we had a tired toddler in tow. Vacasa told us they would give us options for relocation services but only sent us one option or a refund. It was almost 10 pm at this point. The only option was not comparable to this property in size, view, location, amenities, etc. Se asked for another relocation option that was comparable and we were met with disdain. We were treated like we were an inconvenience when all we wanted was to enjoy a long weekend at the beach together as a family. We then were charged $60 for the relocation when we were told we would not be charged for the change in properties. This was an all around horrible experience to move 3 times in 2 days and experience the terrible customer service we did. We will never book with Vacasa again - which we never intended to, we booked through VRBO. We will now be conscious of who we book through when booking through VRBO. We are currently waiting a refund for what they charged us. If it is not settled we will call AMEX and stop payment. All around a nightmare of an experience. I have never in our decade of booking and staying in Hilton Head ever experienced anything like this. Stay away from Vacasa. I understand a mess up but how you respond to customers shows your integrity and their customer service is so far below par.

Spring break

We had a wonderful stay. The neighborhood of Inverness villas was quiet and relaxing. Saw a lot of wildlife within the resort. The free shuttle to the beach was wonderful. They came within 5 minutes each time we called for a ride. We enjoyed riding our bikes on the beach. The resort grounds and island are beautiful. Very good kitchen with all the cookware / utensils we needed. We made a lot of meals while there. The only thing we couldn't find was a hair dryer. I liked how spacious the villa was. I visited the pool once; it was also nice. Thank you for a great experience!

Great but needs some TLC

Due to the condo being an older unit, a deep clean is heavily needed. The sliding glass doors are hard to open due to accumulated dirt in the sliders. The carpet needs a deep clean or replaced as well. It also could use repainting. You can tell none of this stuff as been done in a very long time. If all that was done, I would rent it again in a heart beat. If not I would not go back.

Family vacation

We've stayed in Hilton Head many times, usually at the Disney resort there (DVC members) but weren't able to get a reservation there during our available dates. Went through VRBO for the first time and it was easier than I expected, and we loved the place! Very clean and bigger than it looked on the pictures. There were 5 of us (including 3 teenage boys) so having the space AND a second bathroom was important. Condo was super clean, well stocked. A bit further into the palmetto dunes complex, but an easy bike ride, which we love, plus you could also use in-resort shuttle (Dunes buggy). Used this once and they were there to pick up in under 5 minutes. Overall, it was a positive experience and I would definitely rent this place again/recommend a stay. Thank you!

Disappointed

Palmetto Dunes is a great area but this place is not. We had roaches , water went out, power went out, WiFi went out, and the code they gave us for the pool didn’t work. We made the best of it, but we will not stay again.

Private!

We absolutely loved this home because it was private with a back deck and a wonderful view of the water fountain. We vacation in Hilton Head specifically for the bike riding, so the little further ride to the beach was perfect for us. The home was everything we needed. The only negative I have to say is that the AC did not cool it down to the temp I like, but we never called about this because this is just a preference of mine. Also, with Vacasa we didn’t realize that you have to pick up the key to the place and then drop it back off the day you leave. Not convenient at all considering it’s the opposite direction of the way we take to get back off the island. Otherwise, it was another great trip to Hilton Head!!

Great for family gathering

Only issue was soap dish/tile in 1 bathroom came off- when property manager was notified- maintenance worker immediately called in response.
