Eveaything!Hope to rent again, but don't want this review to eliminate our date availability. All was great !Aesthetics,location,private, quiet, nature views, bike trails,total home quality&kitchen quality(former chef)& supplies.Did I ruin my 2025 reservation slot?

This is a beautiful property in a beautiful neighborhood which unfortunately has not been checked or had regular upkeep. When we arrived at the property there was an overpowering smell, similar to sewage. The Vacasa team did the best they could to remediate the smell with no luck so we were challenged with finding alternate accommodations. Vacasa offered us one on the other side of the island which would have made our group vacation challenging with the rest of the group staying in our planned location. Ultimately we found our own alternate rental which was smaller and quite more expensive. We were given a full refund but not compensated for our additional expenses or inconvenience. Again, very disappointing because this completely changed and compromised our trip as well as costing us money we had not budgeted for. It’s a shame such a lovely villa has not had the regular management to keep it safe and ready for the vacationers looking forward to staying there.

The dilemma

This place is well-appointed for sure. However, it posed a real dilemma for my wife and me. We wanted to spend time relaxing outside on the expansive deck. But the back yard overlooks heavy marshland, which attracts extremely aggressive mosquitos that ran us inside. When we tried to relax indoors we found the place comfortable enough. But the thermostat is set so that visitors can't adjust the temperature to their liking. It was cold in the house and there was nothing we could do about it. The owners MUST give visitors autonomy over the temperature setting, as people's comfort levels tend to vary broadly. I don't know that we would return without some assurance that we could at least adjust the thermostat as needed. Also, it would have been helpful to have access to instructions on using the TV.

Clean, open, and lots of room, with nice wood floors, and ceiling, and views of trees and marsh from all main rooms. The only draw back was the hard beds.

Peaceful Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was clean and in a good location. The only issues was arriving at night and very dark in the area. Plus the TV did not stream very well. Other than those issues, the place was perfect.

Wonderful Luxury

We came into town for my inlaws to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. All the rooms were nice not on top of each other and enjoyed seeing the deer in backyard. Only complaint was the automatic changing of thermostat to 79 degrees . Which was too warm for 90° days with a lot of humidity.
