「The General Palmer was an awesome hotel. I loved the historic aspect of the hotel, especially the elevator. The outdoor seating area overlooking the mountains, downtown, and the Durango and Silverton railroad depot was great too. The breakfast in the morning was good also.」

「Good for a basic convenient stay. First night kept up most of the night by drunk neighbors. Contacted front desk for help. Seemed annoyed that I called for help. Not sure what action was taken but did not result in improvement of the neighbors behavior. Also their smoking triggered my asthma symptoms. Spoke with front office in the morning. They were able to secure a refund for the first night. Second night was fine without incident.」

「We loved staying at his hotel, it's in a lovely location at the side of the Animas River, people are beautiful, the food at the restaurant was very good same as my Martinis, the ladies at the front desk are friendly and welcoming, the parking lot in front of you, the only thing is that they missed to clean a room one of the days, but that we can live with. But we didn't miss the warm delicious cookies at the evening.」

「Charged us for the hotel stay one day early, before we even arrived, and when we called about it, the front desk was rude and angry at us, even though no hotel we've EVER stayed at charges a day early, she acted like it was completely normal. WORST ROOM I'VE EVER STAYED IN. A shoebox, with no room to move, the bed took up all the space in the room. PAY TE EXTRA MONEY TO STAY ELSEWHERE. It's not worth it, trust me. We left a day early because it was unbearable.」

「Nice old vintage feeling hotel. With working neon sign ! The lobby has beer decorations and the owner was very nice. Room was clean and everything worked in there. Yeah there was some small stuff with drywall a Karen could complain about but it didn’t bother us. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.」
