Family gathering
Our stay was wonderful. The house is extremely spacious and the backyard is big. Everything you need is in the house and available to use. The beds were extremely comfortable. We were able to spend time with family without worrying about anything.

Ideal rental for a family
Shirley was very responsive. The house is spacious and well stocked. Also very clean. The beds are comfortable. The property is very nice. The location is convenient. I would stay here again.

More than just like home
You can tell this is a home that was loved through the years. Lots of room to spread out or gather, everything you need but clothes & food plus features you will enjoy that you cannot find easily, e.g. private pool, screened porch, lots of cooking items. We would definitely rent again!

Family trip to Chattanooga
I met my mom and siblings in Chattanooga for a long weekend and the house was a great place to hang out. We had a great time playing in the pool. It's very quiet but close to anything you need.

Perfect house and great location
Our stay was fantastic and met the needs of our grandchildren ages 4 to 16, our two daughters and husband and I. The layout of the house allowed us room to spreadout and also spend wonderful time together. The pool was lovely and the boys loved fishing in the creek where they caught several kinds of fish and saw deer three different times. It was a great time.

Family retreat
If your looking for a place to stay with your family no need to look any further. We had plenty of space to hang as a family and plenty of space to be on our own. The home is equipped with everything we needed plus more. The outdoor space was just as lovely. Beautiful view, sitting area and a pool. The pool was perfect. The location is minutes away from the Tennessee Riverpark. The owners were very gracious, made sure everything was good when we checked in and checked out. Our family will definitely be staying here again.

Perfect place for holiday family gathering
This property is true to its pictures and description — we loved this house! Plenty of room for people to spread out, visit, eat and play games. Beds were VERY comfortable. Having 2 ovens and refrigerators was great since we were feeding (but not housing) 15 people. Shirley isn’t kidding when she says the kitchen is stocked with pretty much anything you would need. We used the crockpot for cider and a very nice roasting pan for the ham, and there was even an electric knife for carving it. There was a great assortment of baking dishes for our casseroles. Also plenty of eating and serving utensils. The enormous yard was perfect for after dinner strolls and the kids in our group loved climbing the gigantic magnolia. The house’s proximity to the North Chickamauga Creek Greenway is another bonus. We had a couple of delightful walks there. The entrance is a very short walk from the house, but Hamill Rd is busy with no shoulder, so we drove. Shirley was a very responsive and gracious host, quick to answer my texts and questions. Here are the few negatives we found: 1) the awning over the back door is probably very welcome during the hot summer, but in the winter it blocks your view of the woods and sunset. 2) It would be nice to have a game table in the multipurpose room. We brought a card table for working puzzles and placed it there, using the kitchen table for games. 3) The only reason I gave 4 stars for location was traffic noise. As mentioned above, Hamill Rd sees a lot of traffic, and Hwy 153 is also very close. The house is well back from the road, and the noise wasn’t disruptive. Perhaps it is quieter in the warm months when the trees are leafed out. 4) The ovens appear to be original to the house (which was pleasantly nostalgic for several of us) but they performed just fine. NONE of these issues were dealbreakers for us, and we would definitely stay here again.

Location close to downtown with pool
Large home with great outdoor space and pool. Two refrigerators help with food when cooking for large numbers and leftovers. Very close to downtown Chattanooga for sites.

Great place in every way!
We had a group with 4 adults and 4 children age 5-12. The house is huge and plenty of room to spread out or to find a private place to if you need a break. The pool is fully fenced from the rest of the yard- so, safe for little ones. Well-stocked, in every area. They even provide pool towels! Owner is very gracious and always available.

Loved this house for our family getaway!
We booked this house for our 8th annual family getaway vacation with friends and it was perfect! The house was big enough to accommodate 9 people, including 5 kids! The kids were never bored and enjoyed the pool! We loved everything about this house. And the home owner was fabulous as well. Great communication. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Beautiful place
We had a great experience staying here. The house was clean and comfortable. It accommodated all eight of just fine. The location is close to downtown but in a quiet neighborhood. Also the owner was always responsive if we had questions. The pool was great for the kids. We would definitely be back if we visit again!

Hixon is Wonderful
Property was excellent and the most well-stocked of any we have stayed in. My only recommendation would be to upgrate the second and third bedroom beds to larger beds. This was a great stay for our family and we would do it again in a minute. The communication was excellent and we loved our stay.

Spacious house in great location
The home was large with plenty of bathrooms for our family. It was a wonderful location in Chattanooga. Shirley was very helpful and responsive with any questions we had. The house was very well stocked with everything we needed! Towels for the pool, lots of pots and pans and spices. It made a great landing spot for the Ironman for us!

Large house with pool
Overall the family loved staying at this property. The pool was fantastic and all the amenities you could need were provided for you. My only minor issue was the front door was very hard to lock from the inside. Most times I never was sure if it was locked or not when we went to bed.

Get away to relaxation

Large house with an awesome backyard and pool.
We rented this property for the pool mainly and it delivered! Plenty of room if you have a large group (we only had 4 total so each kid got a bedroom which they loved). The backyard was super private, the pool was spotless, the kitchen was set up with tons of pantry items (including 2 fridges) and everything worked perfectly. One kid said "I wish this was our house!" and the wife asked "Just 2 more days?". Thanks Shirley, we had an awesome time!

The home was great. The location made for convenient access to Hixson mall and the city of Chattanooga. The pool was great. There was more than enough comfortable seating around the pool and patio. The enclosed porch, with a bath, was great while using the pool. My family had a wonderful time.

Great Family Thanksgiving Week Stay
The house was perfect for our gathering of 6 adults and 2 children. The multi-purpose room was huge and a great area for the kids to play and leave their toys and games. The various sitting areas provided places for private conversation, video gaming or resting. The pool was closed during our stay but the grounds are extensive and well-cared for. We might come back in the summer to enjoy the huge pool, BBQ and multiple outside sitting areas. We cooked our Thanksgiving meal in the well-stocked kitchen and overall had a lovely family vacation. Sisters Weekend with mom
We had a wonderful time. Spent much of it out at the pool and fire pit. Perfect amount of room for us to sleep and enjoy “home” cooked meals too.

Great outdoor space!
Great house! Awesome pool & outdoor space! My family- husband, two boys 6&10, and my parents all really enjoyed the house. It had everything we needed, it was clean, check in & check out were a breeze and communicating with the owners was easy and efficient. My boys enjoyed the pool tremendously, especially since our state had yet to open pools due to COVID. We fished in the creek, cooked out, swam & roasted marshmallows. It was the perfect getaway for our first time out of quarantine. We passed the house info on to several of our friends who are looking for a COVID safe trip. We enjoyed the country feel but liked that Publix was just down the road for anything we needed. We had a great stay and I would recommended this home to anyone.

Fabulous get away home
Traveled to Chattanooga for the Ironman 70.3 race and decided to stay away from the hustle and bustle of downtown! Absolutely loved this property. It is beautiful and quiet and well cared for! The home is big with lots of beds and space to spread out. We appreciated access to the garage for our bikes and racing gear. The pool was a great treat after the race ! The kitchen is well stocked which was convenient since we all arrived by air and find stocking up on condiments etc costly. Thank you Shirley!

Perfect Place!
This location was perfect for our group of 9 with plenty of room! Very clean, stocked with all essentials and more. So much room to make your stay very comfortable. Great accomodations
Loved this property, beautiful yard, trees, nice landscaping Exceeded my expectations. Plenty of room for our family of 8. Quiet neighborhood. 15 min to Chattanooga attractions. Pool was very large with abundance of seating and shady in late afternoon. Owner kept in touch to make sure our needs were met. Would stay here again and would highly recommend this property.

Home away from home. We loved it!
Our whole family enjoyed the house, pool and property. We used the pool every day while we played corn hole in the side yard. Also the park was so close we ran and hiked everyday. The location of this house is perfect and is very well stocked. This is a home away from home.

Perfect family home!
From the moment we stepped into the house we felt right at home. There was soft music playing, fresh fruit in the bowl, and items in the fridge to make us feel welcome after a 14 hour drive. There was nothing more that we could have asked for. The floor plan was perfect with the multi-purpose room for our 3 kids to sleep in and have a living area. The other side of the house, with the 3 bedrooms and the center meeting spot of the kitchen and sitting areas, gave the adults a quiet reprieve and a place to enjoy coffee when waking up on different schedules. There was enough space for all 10 of us to sleep and move about comfortably and we spent most days out by the pool and cooking out on the grill. It was the prefect setting for our family reunion and to come back and enjoy the relaxation after we spent a long day at Ironman Chattanooga 70.3. The house is so private and quiet with a ton of land and the beautiful creek, yet so convenient to restaurants, malls, shops and a short 15 minute drive to downtown.
