"The hotel staff very welcoming and friendly, comfy beds and a great shower. Good selection for breakfast and plenty of options for all tastes. Location not too bad - just over a 5 min walk to the tram…and cheaper as out of town. However what lets the place down is that the area is noisy and therefore you can’t leave windows open to cool the rooms (no aircon) and the curtains do not fully cover the windows, letting light in…with the room getting light from 5:30am "

"We’re in Prague for a competition and this hotel was exactly what we needed, we where able to have a twin room, really clean and tidy, there was a really nice communal space and the room was well laid out and well equipped. The staff were all really friendly and we felt really welcome. Location is also great, just a short tram ride from the city centre "

"Very comfortable rooms, close to public transportation with easy access to old town and Wenceslas square. There is a pub on the ground floor but honestly it wasn’t very loud, especially after 10pm. We had no trouble sleeping and the beds were very comfortable. Also great to have air conditioning as the weather was very hot during our stay. "

"The Hotel That Quietly Wins Prague (and Your Heart) I stayed at the Michelangelo Grand Hotel twice during my Prague trip — once to kick things off (June 17–18), and again to wrap it up (June 22–23). Both times, the staff made me feel like I’d stumbled into a five-star hotel disguised as a really well-run four-star. I’ve stayed in places that cost twice as much and didn’t come close to this level of service. The front desk? Rockstars. They helped me with currency exchange, held my luggage without a second thought, and even let me check in early — which felt like a miracle after a transatlantic haul. They were consistently kind, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care that my stay went well. Honestly, if they’d offered to adopt me and let me live behind the reception desk, I might’ve considered it. Rooms were clean, cool (yes, actual air conditioning that works), and comfortable. First room was a simple queen — perfect. Second one had a queen plus a double — even better. Bonus points for the coffee maker, free bottled water, and random little coffee candies that I definitely didn’t need but definitely ate. Even the bathroom soap and shampoo were good — once I figured out the fancy squeeze bottles, which I stared at like a caveman discovering plastic. Location? Ridiculous. You’re practically tripping over history the moment you step out the door. The Franz Kafka rotating head statue? Right there. "I really enjoyed my time at this hotel. The hotel is clean, tidy, and the staff were friendly. Many food places in the vicinity, local restaurants and fast food too. Easy transport links with tram stop round the corner but you can also walk if need be."

Clean and Quiet

"A very pleasant stay in a small room with a great city view. Breakfast was wonderful, all the food was top quality with lots of choices. Everything was clean and staff helpful. Room cabinetry and bath countertops still remain from the iron curtain era more than 30 years ago, and could use an update, though they are still fully functional. AC unit was most welcome on a 37 degree day but with large west-facing windows it couldn't keep up and we had to close the curtains. We were disappointed to discover the pool and spa had an extra fee of 20 euro per person, so we declined these nice activities that we had looked forward to."
