“The host was spectacular and the staff kind and helpful. Loved the Safari decor in the great hall. The rooms were really nice, good mini fridge, great tub and separate shower. The breakfast was delicious! Location was great- and secured entry onto the estate. Great place to walk about and see wild warthogs, kudu, steenbok and monkeys. It was a perfect spot to be to drive to all the animal places (endangered species center, Jessica the hippo, the elephant sanctuary/orphanage and the wildlife……

“The facilities are in excellent condition, the staff is lovely, the breakfast is very good, and it's not far from the Kruger gate and shops. Unfortunately the people in the adjacent room to mine were blaring music or TV until late in the evening and I had to wear ear plugs to sleep. But the place itself is great. ”

“We stayed at the Sunbird Lodge for 3 nights, and it was very peaceful and quiet. It had two twin beds, a set of bunk beds, small kitchenette, television, air conditioning, desk and chair, as well as outdoor patio. The pool was clean and extremely warm, but refreshing. Plus, I was more than comfortable in my room, where they don't skimp on pillows for those of us who like to sit up in bed to work. There's no generator on the premises for the load-shedding but that's normal for comparable properties. Just stay atune to the schedule is what I learned in southern Africa.”
