Haukafell Campground - Rent a Tent

Our canvas tents are spacious and comfortable, with 16m2 of floor space to accommodate up to two people. Each tent is fully equipped with pre-made beds and a cosy setup, so you can relax and enjoy your stay without having to worry about the logistics of setting up camp.

Our tents are made from durable and weather-resistant materials, designed to keep you dry and protected from the weather.

You can rest easy knowing that you’ll have a comfortable place to sleep, even if the weather takes a turn for the worse.

The tent is comfortable, has power, towels, a heater and is comfortable and secure. There are bathrooms with free showers. We couldn't figure out if we had to pay for parking or not and the owner doesn't respond to questions from the day of check-in on so we can only assume we were ok. We didn't experience midges or lineups or a lack of toilet paper like other people. We did experience rude travelers who arrived at midnight and made a ruckus through the night and into the morning but that is the luck of the draw when camping, unfortunately. It was a fun experience.

Just a tent

Make sure you understand no hot water, no showers and a long dirt road. If all that is ok then this tent was very nice. Comfy cot, carpet on the floor. There is a thick comforter but no sleeping bag to retain heat. We needed to wear hats and at least double layers to stay warm

Unable to open the tent lock, could not stay.

We arrived to a beautiful area, but not good reception and unable to reach anyone to give us the lock combination, so could not open the tent. Did not stay there. So sad that happened, and deserve a refund that we paid ahead of time.
