JR KYUSHU HOTEL Kagoshima

"As the name suggests, the hotel is literally seconds from the station. As such, you are close to many restaurants and shops. As it was extremely hot during our stay, it was a big plus being able to navigate to the different restaurants and shops without having to leave the comfort of air conditioning during the hottest parts of the day. We would highly recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, the friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff and its great location. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we're in Kagoshima! Can't say enough good things about this hotel."

"The hotel is fine and in a great location. The room was too small for my husband and I to be comfortable in together. We moved to the Sheraton allowing each of our adult children to have their own room at the Solaria."

"Room was clean and spacious as described. The difficult part of the room were small items such as auto lights at entry and bathroom. Anytime someone goes to bathroom at night, the whole room gets bright. TV mounted to wall near 1 bed and very loud if in the bed. 1st floor sauna has extreme fragrance the permeates the whole entrance."

"Superb newish hotel in the center of downtown in Tenmonkan. Lots of things to do nearby. Tram and bus stops 1-2 minute walk away. Extremely clean as can be expected from this chain. The breakfast was top notch and the views from the 15th floor breakfast area mind-blowing. The only issue was that the bathroom was too big which ate into the bedroom space."

"The room was very, very, clean.; and the front desk and housekeeping staff were friendly, kind, and helpful. It’s a perfect location! Very close to Kagoshima-Chuo, and there’s many restaurants and convenience stores nearby! I will definitely stay here again, next time I’m in Kagoshima. My only negative point: the power shuts off when the room card is removed. For people that work online, uploads and downloads will cease when your computer runs out of battery power. It was a minor issue, that made me change my work schedule while doing tourist activities. I will still stay here again in the future. Thank you, Hotel Noir!"
