Jolly Dave's, a professionally decorated home located in downtown Topsail Beach, will surely grant you a wonderful vacation spot! Modern style and beach flair offer vacationing comfort for your family of up to 12, plus up to two permitted canine companions! Ocean views abound inside and out. The two-level ocean side deck is perfect for relaxing with a book or lounging in the sun while you enjoy the beautiful Atlantic Ocean views and the private beach access walkway offers a quick access to all the fun in the sun on the beach!

Please note: For security purposes, there is an exterior camera in the carport.

The stay was nice, and the views were great. The only bad thing was the stairs. There were 16 from the entry to the 1st. flour & 16 to the living room, kitchen. The view was great, the vacation was good, and the weather was not the best, which no one has control over. The waves were too bad to surf or pier fish.

I enjoyed everything about our stay at this property, from the location (oceanfront, next to the Jolly Roger Pier, in front of a mini golf / ice cream place, short walk to restaurants) to the interior of the house (spacious, good view of the beach, plenty of decks, easy access, outdoor hot cold shower, good water pressure and fixtures in the bathrooms, fine TV and internet for when it was raining).If I try to come up with criticisms, the only things I can think of is that there was no grill (which the listing clearly states so it was not a surprise) and the dishwasher struggled to clean dishes, especially in the top (running on the sanitize cycle seemed to help).I love that it was pet friendly with plenty of places to walk a dog (not just on the beach), and again, very clean.

Great Location

We booked our stay for Spring Break 2025. It was early in the season so there were a few things that weren't working like the outside shower to rinse feet off.You need to read the "What to Bring" before you go. I did not realize there is no hand soap or dishwasher pods. The only cleaning solution was a multipurpose and you need Windex to wipe off the kitchen table. Plus don't forget garbage bags.Some of furniture is outdated and the outdoor items are rusty and useless.If you can't do stairs, this is not the house for you. There are 2 stages of stairs that you need to go up.Now with all that, we did enjoy the views from the house. They were spectacular. The location of the house is perfect. We ate dinner and ice cream at Larry's Deli-Que. It was really good, and I would give it a 10/10.I would give the house an 8 out of 10. The location on the beach trumps any negatives. The hosts were easy to get a hold of and rectify any issue we had.

Great get away at the beach

The house was really nice and comfortable. View from porches was great and access to the beach amazing. Our dog loved the stay and the house was really clean. There was no sign that this was a "dog friendly" house. Would definitely stay there again. Walking distance to the roller rink and shops.

Nice relaxing vacation

Overall a great place to stay. Couch and beds need to be replaced. Fans and couch were dirty. Decorative pillows need attention. Beach access and views were wonderful. We had a wonderful week at Jolly Dave’s.

Great Location...Rental is overpriced, stairs galore and was not clean.

We absolutely LOVE the Topsail area and have stayed at several different rentals on the island. The rental location was wonderful, could't ask for a better spot, however I was a quite disappointed with several things regarding the rental itself, especially considering the very high rental rate. It was not very clean, many of the dishes had been put away dirty, we had to wash most everything we used. There is no Keurig, just an old dirty drip style coffee pot. The kitchenware was a bit disorganized and mismatched. Many containers had no lids. When we used the tub, several chunks of MOLD came shooting out of the whirlpool jets. The master bathroom shower had been poorly cleaned. There was residual shampoo on the walls/floor and the cleaner that was used had not been rinsed off. There was a lot of dust/pet hair on the floorboards throughout the unit and the washer had MOLD growing in it. There is no cable TV, only sling TV so if you are not familiar with how it works don't plan on watching anything. From the description, I did not realize the HUGE quantity of stairs we would have to climb during our stay. I selected it based on the online description, specifically for older family members who cannot climb steps very well due to health issues. There is no elevator, and after entering the front door you are greeted by a huge flight of stairs. The main living area is at the top of the unit, so you have to climb another flight of stairs to get to the kitchen and 4th bedroom. There is no access to the beach from the street side of this rental. To access the beach you have climb the first set of stairs and go through the master bedroom or go up both sets of interior stairs to the main living area to the back deck. Once outside, you have to climb down two additional flights of stairs to get to the beach. It was a exhausting and one of our family members ended up staying in the unit most of the time to keep from having to climb so many stairs. The electronic lock for the street side entry was very convenient however there were no keys provided for the sliding doors on the beach side, making it very inconvenient to keep everything secure when we were not there, especially since there is no beach access from the street side unless you walk to a public beach access.
