Snow trip

Great little snowy cabin in the woods. We really enjoyed the spa and fireplace. Close to shops and restaurants. We’ll be back!

Amazing Property

Friends of ours stayed at this property in the past and we loved it! Got lucky this year and it became our week long retreat. Kitchen is great, plenty of linens, comfortable beds, the backyard is the absolute highlight! We highly recommend this property!

Incredible location, comfy house, great yard

What an amazing place! We were 2 families with kids and it worked wonderfully. The house was safe for the baby and great for the toddlers. Highly recommend the hike at the end of the road to see the gnomes!

Great location

Loved staying in this cabin! The location is ideal for us as we spend most of our time on the west shore when we visit Tahoe. I think we will definitely book here again. We had an issue with the showers not draining at all but they were quick to respond and it was fixed when it was convenient for us to be out of the house. The top shelf of the dishwasher is broken and the pans and cookware could definitely use an update but overall we enjoyed our stay!

Homewood Retreat

I don’t usually bother with reviews but this time I will because this cabin is awesome. It was perfect for my family as we attended a wedding in Meeks Bay and enjoyed time out on the lake. This place is very nicely decorated, clean, and relaxing. I loved that they had everything you need but still a lot of space for your own stuff. So frequently the cupboards are full of broken appliances and they only have four towels. Not here!!! Lots of towels and everything you need in the kitchen. This place is well thought out with super nice. I love the owner’s style and it was so nice and clean.

Great place for two families

Check in was easy, location is great. Near lake, 2 minutes from Homewood, 15 minutes from Alpine and 20 minutes from Palisades (formerly Squaw) and 5-10 minutes from restaurants and shops in Tahoe City. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Minor gripes: I wish the hot tub had been set at a hot temperature prior to our arrival because by the time it warmed up, it was our last night. The cleaning was okay but not perfect - some dusty areas and a bunch of contact lenses left in a window sill. No dishwasher detergent which was inconvenient. But we would definitely stay here again and we appreciated the opportunity to stay in this contemporary but warm home.

Great place and location

This house is at the end of a road and there is no traffic. It's very nice inside. Nicer than the pictures. My kids spent all their time playing in the snow and in the hot tub. We got food to go from places in Tahoe City which is about a 10 min drive. Sunnyside is very close. I walked to the lake and back in about 20-25 min. Beds are comfortable and we loved the fire place. It worked very well. The house seems to back up to some open space. You can see other houses, but we felt like we had some privacy. I would absolutely stay here again. The only negative was that the cable didn't work, but that's not a big deal.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The picture does not due this wonderful home justice. It is beautifully located and the end of a lane. Very private and quiet. The home was very clean and very well appointed. New appliances which all were clean and in good working order. The home was stocked with more than just basic supplies and plenty of towels. The backyard was very lovely. Yards well maintained with a bonus we were not aware of, a spa. Great location in TahoeI, very close to the beach and loads of restaurants. I would rent this home again without question.

Great home, just make sure they clean it before you arrive

This home had a nice layout and all the basics for a ski getaway. We really enjoyed the hot tub as well. Although in the description it says the owners have a dog, I did not expect dog hair all over the sofa or embedded in the bathroom rug. It made me wonder if the rug was even washed between guests. I also felt this way about the sheets in the bunk room. There was a stuffed animal in them, so I also questioned if these were washed between visits. Vacasa texts about the cleanliness soon after check in and I brought this to their attention. By the time we checked out I was still waiting for a reply about what could be done about it.

Simple yet close to it all

Rented this for our destination Thanksgiving. Walked in and unmediated noticed how clean the place was and appeared to had been either neatly kept or recently remodeled. Plenty of blankets and a gas fireplace that heats the whole place up quite nicely. The cell phone reception was weak with both our carriers, but the point of being away was keeping off electronics so this isn’t a complaint. There was WiFi if needed. Overall the whole experience was better than expected. The combo for the property access didn’t work, contacted the property man never Turnkey and within 20 seconds a new code was issued and that was our only problem for the week long stay. In the snow, you’re about 20 minutes from grocery stores. There are neighbors but we hardly seen anyone besides the dog owners walking their dogs.

Nice getaway with a few hiccups

First, the house itself is adorable and had plenty of room for myself and my 3 adult children. The kitchen is set up well and easy to cook and still be a part of the conversation. the neighborhood is adorable just a few blocks from the lake for our afternoon walks. It's important to know that the cell service stinks in this area so don't expect calls to go through. The big issue we had was that the cleaning people never showed up and we arrived at 4:45pm to a filthy dirty house - not fun after a 6 hour drive. It was impossible to get my call to go through, so I had to drive down the road a bit to get reception. After 5 calls working with Vacasa, finally a cleaning crew arrived BUT now we had to leave the house for 2-3 hours, go eat out (which we weren't planning on doing) and couldn't unpack. I am still waiting for Vacasa to refund me my first night due to that fiasco. Now they are ghosting me and will not return my calls.

Wonderful First Time Cabin

Our family truely enjoyed staying at our first cabin. This particular cabin really made us want to rent a cabin again. The cabin was spacious, accommodations were fantastic, the cabin has been updated and there was enough entertainment for the entire family to enjoy together or even seperate. We loved the fireplace. Us valley people are not accustomed to temperatrures below 40. :-)
