Did you notice the $1500 bond? This must be paid at least 4 weeks in advance. It is put through your credit card or bank, not held as a pending charge. You are charged a 2% fee ($30) for using a credit card. When the bond is returned, a minimum of 1 week after your departure you are charged another $30. Our bond was not returned for 16 days and only after multiple emails and a phone call. The property is was very nice, well equipped and comfortable, but there are many warning signs in the house: minimum air-con temp is 24, don't run 24 hours per day, you will be charged if you leave it on while out, don't push this button or you will be charged $50, don't sit outside after 10 pm, don't ever make any noise...Most of the requests are reasonable, but they are annoying. You are sent a PDF document by email prior to your arrival to note any damage in the home. It must be returned by midnight on the day of your arrival, which must not be prior to 2 pm or you will be charged for asecurity call and another day's rent. You are told to print the form. Not the easiest thing to do while on vacation and I am not sure how you are supposed to return it to them without a scanner. I had a laptop and was able to manipulate the form and complete it electronically, but it is not a writeable form. Gold Coast Holiday Houses rents many homes on the Gold Coast, but they won't be renting another one to me.
