“Overall this hotel was lovely and a wonderful location. Positives The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in a pet friendly garden suite which was ideal, the hotel food was fabulous and the spa was clean with a lovely pool, steam and sauna rooms. We did have a leak in our bathroom coming from upstairs which wasn't fixed and also there was some noise coming from upstairs. Housekeeping only came once in three days and didn't fully clean, I did mention this on the last day but……

“Really comfortable B&B, the owners were really hospitable and the breakfasts were prob one of the best I have ever had. Dog friendly and super cute that they provided dog treats in the room. Only small thing is the jacuzzi was wood fired and they needed 6 hours notice if you wanted to use it and felt there was a bit of reluctance around asking to use it. ”

“Ideal for pets. A lot of consideration was given towards our four legged friends.Staff very helpful and tentative. Food quality very good, especially the breakfast. Location excellent for access to the beach, (which allows dogs); approximately 30m away.”

“I have been staying in Dartmouth working for the past 8 months and wish I found this place sooner. It is a lovely room with views and the couple are lovely and very welcoming. This place is better than all the hotels that I have stayed in. Would 100% recommend and happily stay in again.”

“This was by far and away the Best Hotel that I and my brother in law plus wives have ever stayed in for a short break. The food including evening meals were of a quality seen on Masterchef. The staff were so professional and made every effort to make our stay memorable, nothing was too much trouble. No I am not related to the owners but Fantastic is how I would explain this experience. “A spotlessly clean and well presented home with a lovely view from the patio.Superbly located near the town centre and bus stops, The parking issue is a little tedious but surmountable.”

“The location is very convenient for the shops and restaurants. A bonus having onsite parking (could be tricky if there are 4 bigger cars) The view from the living area with bifold doors was amazing ”

“Perfect place for a large group in Salcombe. Excellent location, space, comfort, amenities.”

“The cottage is in an ideal location but is tired and in need of a little love. Whilst the beds were comfy, the bed linen and general furniture felt very worn. We loved the history and position of the cottage and it was great for a 2 night stay with my children. It's important to note that you cannot park near the cottage and have to approach on foot up a very steep alley. Views from the garden were spectacular. ”

“This property is need of a lot of repair. Leaks through the ceiling, peeling paint, the water tank is a real issue - you may run out of drinking water! Marks and holes in walls through the property. It is not a virtual check in you have to go collect the keys. We lost two hours trying to get hold of virtual check in. Microwave sounds like it’s going to explode and dishwasher doesn’t work. Really terrible stay. The only plus is there’s a lovely view”
