I liked the history and that we were able to walk to different restaurants. The staff were wonderful. Although the property is older it was very clean and comfortable.
I had a great stay here at the front desk in the housekeeping was great there helpful and friendly and very knowledgeable. Property was clean and safe.

Nice quiet facilities. Breakfast adequate. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Older property in need of renovation, but a pleasant stay nonetheless.
The staff showed genuin love and consideration to me. Room was clean and fresh smelling. This trip was one for the book. Big thank you to the young lady at the front desk❤!!!
This place was not great. The ceiling in the room was actively leaking/dripping in multiple places, there was a large, weird rust stain on the sheets of one of the beds, and the floor was coated in some kind of oil or something that made it very slick. Overall, not clean or well maintained.
The only positive thing was that the staff were all extremely friendly and responsive.
Very dated. Outlets didn’t work. Insects in webs between wall and ceiling. Needs to be updated. All staff were very polite and helpful

The room was less than pleasant. The coffee maker was full of mold and the lights flickered. There were unpatched holes in the wall. Service at the front desk was super great.

Was not exactly as expected; however, it was comfortable for our use. The main problem was that the entry door needed to be adjusted. It was hard to open and close.

Bathroom not cleaned
The lady at the front desk was very nice. The sleeping area was okay, but the bathroom had not been properly cleaned. Shower and toliet was dirty.
Walls thin, neighbor was loud. It’s an old place that needs some renovations.
I had an enjoyable stay at the Carmel Inn. The employees and staff were extremely friendly, helpful and very attentive. The room was clean and about what I expected for a budget hotel. The only issue I had was the room I was issued was the outdated television which was not a smart TV. But I had my Roku device so I was able to stream the programs I wanted the free continental breakfast was great the first morning, however the remaining mornings it was unattended and only dry breakfast available. Overall the hotel was great. Unfortunately weather did not allow me to use the beautiful pool. Highly recommend for budget conscious travelers.
The rooms are run down, the bath and shower were disgusting. The floors are black from dirt, don't walk barefoot! The tub handles were broken and did't shut off all the way, so for our entire stay the water ran. We had to ask for towels most of the days we were there. Ours were picked up but not left. The front desk people are also the cleaning people. Apparently they can't get help.
The one good thing, and i don't know how this happened, there is a wonderful Italia/Greek restaurant inside the hotel.
Are the pictures on the website really old? Lobby is clean and area outside looks clean. Room was super run down. Found a used diabetic strip in bedside table. Bathroom was super small and looked like black mold in places. We didn’t bother staying. Looked at other reviews and decided it wasn’t worth it. I don’t know how it has the rating it does.
This property is in need of some serious refurb. Huge dirt spot (18") in the ceiling over the shower. Sink and tub badly chipped. Towels were like two paper towels, very thin. Room not cleaned in two days. Cleaning requested (twice) but no can do. Desk clerk when we checked out was very nice. $100/night vs $180 for the Hampton. Get what you pay for.

The room itself was dated or I should say very dated. There was popcorn and popcorn kernels behind the single nightstand between two queen beds. The floor lamp in the room was broken. There was a coffee maker but no coffee. The refrigerator freezer part had a layer of ice inside as if it had been turned off and then turned back on again and the ice and melted and then Frozen at the bottom like a sheet of ice. The floor was extremely dirty we wore socks out of habit and the bottom of our socks were black from walking on the floor. We had trouble with our shower and when you flush the toilet for one to two minutes afterwards There Was An Extremely Loud high pitch whining noise. There were other patrons sitting out in patio chairs outside their room which led me to believe that maybe some of these individuals rent long term but it just kind of gave a very rundown vibe. Those were all the cons. The pros to this place is that the staff was very attentive and they were very courteous. They were willing to provide extra towels and there were no bed bugs or other visible rodents or creatures in the room. The beds were okay the blankets that they use are very thin and very cheap but they appeared clean and not stained or any sort of dirt or other gross stuff on them. The fixtures in the room did not work with the switches so we had to unplug and plug the lamp in when we needed it. It's not bad but it needs some tender loving care and the bed linens could stand to be upgraded
